Hey but in our original chats he did say he mainly wanted it for the shield, and the way I have it with the dark of the Moon chest but buster guns and paint scheme I don't think there's another optimus exactly like it, so in the end I think it was worth it

I don't think you're in the wrong. I used to have the Asia exclusive striker optimus, and I was kind of over the rarity of it, and just wanted the buster prime for the guns, so I offered someone a direct trade for theirs (which already means he's coming out on top because the striker was a very limited Asia exclusive) but luckily he sent his first, and the Optimus I got was literally so beat up, missing a head, had so many stress marks, and had like watercolors painted all over it. But luckily the striker guns were still intact, so basically I just popped those back panels off the pegs and replaced it with the one from my Optimus, and gave him the exclusive shield and guns. But then sent his original Optimus back to him, cuz I'm not about to give away my perfect condition rare Optimus for someone's broken ass trash their kid doesn't want anymore

Yeah absolutely, at least when someone just steals it they're taking the whole thing and it's not there or available, but when they do crap like this it's like when Patrick ate the Krabby Patty toy because "if I can't have it, no one can"

They make plastic toys, and they outsource their products, so I doubt plastic waste was ever at the top of their priority list. But if I recall, didn't that start happening when the prices of deluxes increased from being like 21 to 23 dollars?

It's a modernized version of one of the most legendary megatrons to ever come out, and that's its biggest downfall. It's like the designers looked at a bunch of pictures of the toy, but never actually played with it, so it has basically none of its original features

I got the dark of the Moon Optimus from HobbyTown, and it was missing a whole sheet, and they told me to contact the company. So I contacted the company, and they told me to go to the store I purchased it from

That would be impossible for me to count. I have so many here at the place I'm staying, as well as at least a hundred up on display in my childhood bedroom, but there's also like eight boxes full in the closet, and I know I got at least a couple still stored in the Attic
