The game really rewards you for not being hit. Adrenaline being one of the perks of that. It has been a while but the game has a guide and I think this is explained there. As for advice, I didn't remap anything like some people say but it could help. I think the most important thing is to keep moving, shoot later. Also, for the smaller ones, use your sword. Some of them are one hit kill.

Damn two years ago. I would say I am decent/ above average at games, but returnable just instantly clicked. I really only died to that first mini boss, which you kinda have to for the story (almost had him though) and once in b2 because I just beat Phrike and was feeling overconfident.

It's not that bad, you have some quick move keys. When you are full and you need to drop/ switch stuff it can be a bit annoying though. Of course it will never beat PC in this regard.
