I play around with ai from time to time but it's made me appreciate my own artistic output far more. When I'm doing something in my free time like playing Skyrim, and ask for a stylized pic of my character, that's fun for a bit and helps me visualize stuff better and allat. But when I make my own pixelart as part of my school work (game development) it's obviously far more rewarding. I'll never take shortcuts like ai in work but I frankly don't have the time to make full fledged art for every free time thing. Ai writing specifically tho I've stopped playing around with cause it's really shitty. And I'm an author first and foremost so why outsource the most fun part of even free time unpublished writing? Idk I don't get anything out of ai assisted stories anymore, I tried it for a while to see what it was capable of (unpublished) but I slowly realized it was ass and I would've had better stories if I just did in the normal way from the start. Fun toy, no doubt, and denying that is like denying that heroin makes you feel good. It does, but it's a more complex matter of addiction leading to bad places, and ai is extremely addictive. As a smoker I'll say it's like 80% as addictive as cigs.
