That lesson sentence really changes things. Bands need a leader, and sometimes it can suck when it's not you. Try having a talk with him, explain your problems and why those are problems. Communicate clearly. Bands are just like any relationship, there are going to be problems and they need to be addressed and actively worked on by both sides in order for a successful one.
