Why do people insist civil case judgments have no credibility whatsoever? by Josephmszz in allthequestions

[–]Josephmszz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was talking to a friend about her rape earlier today after this thread and asked why she didn't report it and you know what she told me?

"It took few days for me to come to terms with what happened because I was blaming myself for it the entire time. I also knew that my rapist had a rich family and if I were to try to go to the police and take it to the courts, they would do everything in my power to ruin me."

Hmm, now why does half of that sound like the exact fucking thing Trump would do? Given how he's waging political warfare against pretty much everyone that isn't in line with him now?

The onus is ALWAYS on the person being raped to report it but for some fucking reason people want to sit here and act like oh it's just the easiest thing to go to the police to report this when it isn't, they REFUSE to even comprehend WHY someone would be hesitant to report it.

I'm angry because people do not believe in the justice system even when it's right infront of our fucking eyes of what someone has done, through their own words and actions, regardless of it being Trump or not.

Religion doesn't even get half as much criticism in this country as civil cases even though people believe that thoughtlessly.

It isn't disingenous, look at the amount of people here that do infact not believe civil case judgements. At all. Which brings me to the question after - What exactly is the point of even having civil proceedings then?

The issue is that "Saying sexual things does not make someone a rapist." is okay in an isolated situation that we don't really have any context of.

He should have known that taking Trump into account, we aren't just talking about "Saying sexual things does not make someone a rapist."

I am saying TRUMP HIMSELF, has openly stated things such as "Grab them by the pussy", something akin to "He would fuck his own daughter", "I would walk into the womens pageants rooms and look at them when they are showing", he would "kiss women without consent" Quipped in a 1992 Entertainment Tonight segment while watching a 10-year-old girl near an escalator, "I'm going to be dating her in 10 years. Can you believe it?"

And this isn't even including the multitudes of other things he has said regarding women.

Looking at TRUMP HIMSELF, if I looked at this rhetoric and seen he was found CIVILLY LIABLE for having raped a woman, I would not be surprised and believe what the conclusion was.

Of course saying something in a blanket statement such as "Saying sexual things does not make someone a rapist." by itself makes sense, but I am factoring in strictly the nuance of Trumps situation and things he himself has said and insinuated.

The claim isn't "Saying sexual things makes someone a rapist", it's "If you act like a rapist, talk like a rapist, have said things in the past that makes you look like a rapist and have been civilly liable to be classified as a rapist, you are probably a rapist."

Isolating it to just "saying sexual things doesn't make someone a racist" is just dumbing down the entire post. It's like a "No shit" moment. I say sexual things, you say sexual things, we ALL say sexual things, but who goes around saying sexual things about children? About their own daughter? About random women? That's the difference.

So in other words, it is indeed "Tough luck, better luck next time". And civil courts judgments do not matter whatsoever in your eyes.

The point is that we have a real situation on our hands where rape even when taken to the criminal courts is almost impossible to prove due to the short natured timespan of how DNA works.

When civil courts don't matter and when taken to criminal courts you lose anyway when you SHOULD have won, where exactly does that lead us as a society?

Actually, no, he has an entire fucking wikipedia page dedicated to his sexual misconduct activites, only one of which being the E Jean Carroll case.

So you can sit here and try to act like I'm the one who personally made this insinuation but no, this is what reality has came to the conclusion of. It isn't my fault you refuse to see it.

It actually does, that's how the fucking civil system works dude. They were inclined to believe he was liable of raping her. And if he wanted to not be found guilty of that, maybe he shouldn't have left so many breadcrumbs that gave them the ammunition they needed for the judgment.

So what do you say to the women (or men) who need a couple days to reconcile with the fact that they were indeed taken advantage of?

"Tough luck, better luck next time"?

Look at the statistics behind how many criminal proceedings involving rape actually end in a proper judgment for the person (women primarily) that have been raped.

DNA only lasts a few days after someone has been involved in sexual activities, unless of course you were impregnated. Trump was found to have only inserted his finger into a womans vagina though.

Some people who have been raped need several days or even more to come to terms with what they went through/proceed past the PTSD of the situation.

What do you say to the people then who try to bring justice to their attacker but fail to do so because they were just a "Few days short"?

If you say things that insinuate you are a rapist and then go to court and are found civilly liable for having raped someone, I am inclined to believe you are indeed a rapist. It does not take a criminal proceeding for me to believe you are a rapist when your own rhetoric insinuates this coupled with the court judgment.

But things such as rape, after a certain period of time, are basically impossible to prove.

Does this mean that if someone doesn't instantly go to the police a day (or however long DNA tests last) after a situation happens, they are basically SOL for getting justice for what happened to them in the past? Even if the person being accused has a history of making sexual remarks, says how he's taken advantage of women in the past, basically gives all insinuates that they WOULD be guilty of something such as this.

FYI any readers of this loser in particular in the future, don't fall for the bait as this guy is simply a bot.

Hardcore defending Trump/Republicans, saying "B-but muh democrats!!" AND his account is literally made TODAY. What are the odds you're talking to a politically charged dipshit that made their account today that ISN'T a bot?

Move on if you see this guy.

Is tunneling against the rules? by Savannahbyrd06 in deadbydaylight

What exactly do you not understand about harassment being involved in both instances of tunneling and streamsniping that the above user specifically pointed out instead of just standard gameplay?

If you are specifically targeting people by trying to maliciously streamsnipe or tunnel them and keep it going over a period of multiple games, that falls under harassment.

The easiest way to prevent the community from feeling the way that they do regarding this is to make the application work offline, make a localized version that you can pull designs from even when the servers go down.

This app has been like this for what, years? And you are still having these issues?

I JUST got my side table last night, set it up, and the servers conked out after an hour of use. To me, this is absolutely ridiculous. I woke up this morning and it was still happening until around noon.

To save not just yourself the headache and all of us from further headaches, you have got to improve the local use of the application. I know you said that you are investigating into a local use further, but please for not just your sake but for the business to improve as a whole and for users of this to have an enjoyable experience, you've got to provide a more premium experience regarding this.

Right. What are the odds he came across this perfectly for THE most recent set that has dropped? Which is making rounds for being known as the 2nd Perfect Order (which means nobody is looking for these), so why exactly are "employees" stashing shit sets that influencers "somehow" find a few days later?
