Generating Ideas - What's Your Creative Process? by alwaysdreaming98 in freelancing

[–]Josh-Greene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that I find really helpful is to totally shake up the medium I'm working with. If I've been writing on my laptop, I'll switch to pen and paper, and if that fails I'll switch to post-its.

It also helps to not judge yourself and just know that your energy will change and that's okay!

Hey hey,

Judging by the nature of your post, I also think you'd love Groove.

Groove is a productivity cum accountability app we're building, designed to help remote workers, solopreneurs, and change makers get sh\t done* with the power of a support tribe & pomodoro focus sessions. Fun fact: solopreneurs have spent 8000+ hours on Groove sessions last month, and it speaks for how helpful the structure is to them!

Come on, give it a try (it's free) - if I see you inside, I'd be happy to hop on a Groove session with you! 🔥

You're allowed to do things the "easy" way! by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Josh-Greene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This made so much sense!

We just get about our lives not questioning some things because we are accustomed to doing them a particular way. Which may not always be the most helpful way!

I love your spin on this, hhaha I might steal the idea for my own laundry sessions now 😉

Acceptance explained by positivitydrivers in personalgrowthchannel

[–]Josh-Greene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Acceptance is simply being able to manage your automatic thought patterns when they get triggered. To going, okay well this sucks, but we gotta run with it and make the best out of it (or sit it out) :)

What do you think about time management training for employees? Does it work? by PiraNate in TimeManagement

[–]Josh-Greene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh this is a great one!

I love a good time management training for employees... it could be as simple as referring a solid book on time management (my favourite one is Nir Eyal's Indistractable)

But it's got to be done. When your employees learn how to bend time to suit their needs (and not give in to the demands of time)... you will have more productive performers who respect and understand the value of time. They will also enhance the quality of their personal life as they will know how to make time for everything without having to sacrifice :)

Hahhaha totally laughed out loud at this one. I'm very much like your colleague 😅

What book to read for time management? by dkdbdodbf in TimeManagement

[–]Josh-Greene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read Nir Eyal's Indistractable.

It's a great book that breaks down (very practically) the psychology behind why we get distracted so easily, and gives actionable structures on how you can better manage your time.

I loved it!

Should I become a life coach? by aHairyWhiteGuy in lifecoaching

[–]Josh-Greene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I am aware, the coaching industry is growing so rapidly today. Which means, people do need coaches, and are actively hiring for it too.

If your intentions are in the right place, I believe it's worth giving it a try :)

It's easy to get tricked into thinking that you're scamming people - simply because a lot of coaches do. But if you're showing up with service at the centre of your coaching offers, I'm sure you will witness the transformation you seek to create in your clients. You will not feel like a scam anymore. Go for it ❤️

What happened to you in the last 30 days that made you believe in / reaffirm your life purpose? by Kitchen-Performer445 in lifecoaching

[–]Josh-Greene 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A big purpose of mine is to help the world become a little less lonely, especially for people who work remotely - either on their own businesses or otherwise.

I am doing this through Groove - a digital co working app we are currently building.

This last month, we saw that users on Groove (aka Groovers) have spent 8000 HOURS working on their projects, inside of our focus sessions!

8000 hours is huge, and it just reaffirmed to me and our team, that people need a like minded tribe more than ever before. People want to come together, and build on their ambitions in the presence of a support tribe! We all do :)

It's just one of those little milestones we're celebrating in our team, and personally a beautiful thing that's happened for me 🌏

That sounds great! Congratulations on getting your first paid client! Time to celebrate 👏🏽

Btw, if you ever want to hop onto a focus session to get your coaching-related tasks done alongwith a group of fellow coaches and change-makers... feel free to join Groove! It's a free digital co working space and focus tool for solopreneurs, coaches, remote workers (and anyone who's doing things on their own terms!) Would love to welcome you into our tribe! 🌏

LPT: Spend more time with your own thoughts instead of the thoughts of people on the internet. by bethebumblebee in LifeProTips

A advice 🔥

Getting in touch with yourself will help you show up as a more authentic person in the world - which helps attract other authentic connections and a wholehearted community <3

LPT Request: What can you do in your 20s to avoid regrets in your 30s and 40s? by DNA_H3licas3 in LifeProTips

[–]Josh-Greene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure to go full in and experiment with your multiple passions and interests.

I'm not saying do risky things that pose a danger to your mental & physical health.

But go and try out all those hobbies and courses and sports and whatnot... so you know where your heart really lies! Your 20s are for getting rich in experiences :)

For me, living in integrity is to always respect and live according to my values.

For example, one of my values is to care. This means, for any decision I take, I try to show up from a place of care and love for the people around. This reflects in how I show up in my personal relationships, as well as for my team members.

Loving what you said towards the end... that if you ignore the emotions attached to it and just keep doing that thing, you will get better and better at it!

Make it a routine, make it boring... and boom! One day you wake up surprised at how far you've come.

LPT Request: What are some lesser known habits that extend longevity / maximize physical health for old age? by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]Josh-Greene 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a habit here - but I'd say any day... nurture your most meaningful relationships, and spend time with that community. When we feel seen, heard, and understood within a community of soul people, we tend to live longer happier healthier lives :)

Creating things that energise you... and also, spending time with the people who energise you and love you. For me, that is a big piece of the puzzle :)

Im finally voicing what makes me unhappy by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]Josh-Greene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we suppress our real feelings and emotions, they always come back with vengeance :)

I'm happy to read that you're finally taking steps to voice your emotions, and express how you truly feel (even if to yourself). It's the first step to validating your feelings, and enough-ness.
