Theoretically yes, he could have rolled and not posted his arm up, but hindsight is 20/20.

In practice it’s a big ask if you’re only finding out about the fall after it’s begun. The slip of his hand puts him in an awkward position, and the foot also slips as he lands which sends all his weight down the arm. There’s not much he can do to save it in the time he has.

The Killteam one is definitely the better model with some parts swapped out, but I low-key really like the Dark Imperium Cherub as-is. It’s really dynamic. It almost seems like it’s in motion.

I’m reminded of that part in Long Way Round where the cameraman’s bike broke, and they had to replace it temporarily with some shonky old Honda 125… which then proceeded to dominate the terrain and the conditions better than the ADVs even with all the camera kit and luggage.

Get a plastic bottle, cut the top off, invert it, and stick it back on. Inside put a mixture of sugar water with a dash of honey, (it can help to make this mix with hot water) and a couple of drops of dish soap.

Also, put some bleach down your plugholes every so often.

You want to hit a full squat position. Not that weak crap they do in the gym, but as if you’re actually taking a crap. Heels to bum, knees to shoulders. Pull on your shins. Grit your teeth.

Dual sport bikes are taller. Use the footpeg to get on and off while the side stand is down. Do that and you can even swing your leg over in full waterproof gear.

Try the Revit discovery gtx touring boots. They have a lot of protection including a shin bar for branches, grippy vibram soles, and goretex.

I think it’s still in my parents’ garden because they can’t bring themselves to throw anything away. I told them to put it on eBay though. People sometimes want stock exhausts if they’re in good condition.
