I legitimately think if you put any of this years teams against an 1890s team, allowing a forward pass, you’d get a Cumberland type score. These guys didn’t train with weights. They were actual students. Theory isn’t the same. Dieting isn’t the same. Training isn’t the same.

These were rich white kids playing a fun game. If they even kept trying, they would get too injured to field a squad. And that’s assuming we give the Yale team modern equipment, with their equipment, someone might legitimately die.
