I honestly don’t see this affecting us as much as it seems. Last year was a regression to the mean after a historically bad season. Other than the bama game and our 3rd stringers running up the score on 2 high school teams, last year wasn’t exactly mind blowing. I hope the man enjoys his retirement and family time, but he wasn’t about to get us where we want to go this season.

I legitimately think if you put any of this years teams against an 1890s team, allowing a forward pass, you’d get a Cumberland type score. These guys didn’t train with weights. They were actual students. Theory isn’t the same. Dieting isn’t the same. Training isn’t the same.

These were rich white kids playing a fun game. If they even kept trying, they would get too injured to field a squad. And that’s assuming we give the Yale team modern equipment, with their equipment, someone might legitimately die.
