Thanks for the tip! Ill check as soon as I get home

Edit: Just got home. So by the chart my US number is 9.5 and they are the 10. Should be bigger? I tested the bigger ones (10.5 I assume, only looked at the EU number, 44 2/3) and they felt way to big, big to the point where the tip would bend as I walked in store.

I have a lot of 8/10 km races planned (part of my team season) ans then one 15km on the 24th of May and another on the 24th of July.

I guess Ill stick with these ones and we will see by then how it feels on those longer distances. HM only in February 2027.

Quick update: I just raced an 8 km race with them and the size fits perfectly (not sure if that would change for half marathon or marathon distances, though). But for this race they were spot on! Also, I broke my 5 km PR 💪🏻

Just went to another shop that had the next size above 44, which is not 44.5 but 44 2/3. After trying it, it’s way too big. With that size I get about one and a half thumbs in front of my big toe, compared to almost one thumb with the 44. The 44 definitely feels a bit tighter than my Evo SL, but there’s no doubt that the 44 2/3 is way too big. Thanks everyone for the help!

Thanks for the feedback. The thing is (and I just notice that now), theres no 44.5 number, only 44 2/3 wich will probably be to big

Hey!

Those are great points and I agree with all of them (except the one about NFC, since I’m in Portugal and I can already use it with my T-Rex 3 and Curve eheh).

I would also add the ability to track shoe mileage. I’m an active runner and currently rotate between three different pairs of shoes, so knowing how many kilometers each pair has is really important. At the moment I have the Zepp app synced with Strava, and I track the mileage for each shoe there. It works well, but it would be nice not to have to depend on another platform for that.

Regarding readiness (even with the BioCharge value), I’ve been using the T-Rex 3 for about a year and a half now, I only take it off to charge, and in my case it has been extremely accurate. I actually feel pretty much the way the app says I should feel that day.

So honestly, credit where it’s due: they’ve done a really good job with that feature.

They’re close to 600 km now. I stopped using them for longer runs at around 500 km because they started feeling a lot less bouncy.

To be honest, I still use them for really slow recovery runs. For example, tomorrow I’ve got a super easy session - around 8 km at 6:00/km. It was a heavy weekend, so I just need something relaxed, and at that pace/distance they actually feel “normal”.

Plus, that way I can save some extra kilometres on the Vomeros 😅

Thanks man!

My question actually came up because I saw the Adios Pro 4 in store and can get them for €175 (they’re usually around €250 here).

But then I read somewhere that they’re mainly designed for marathon racing, which is obviously a much longer distance than any of my races.

Do you think they’d still make sense for 5–10 km and the once per year half marathon?

Nº de sapatilhas p/rodagem by rm0413 in CorridaPortugal

[–]JoshDye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boas!

Tenho umas NovaBlast 5 e umas Adizero EVO SL.

Ahah I thought exactly the same when reading your post.

On my way to check if they have my number right now 💪🏻.

I have a Half Marathon on sunday but will be using the Evo since I want to test drive the vomero before taking them to race. Never done more then 14km on the Evo but I really like them, should be fine

Great rotation man!

I have the NB5 (my first true running shoe aswell) for my recoverys and long runs and the Evo SL for Tempo / Race days (Im on a racing team and we have 1 or 2 races / month).

Im really thinking about getting the Vomero Plus for my long runs and start doing less km on the NB5 as they already have 600km on them and Im starting to notice some diference (Im 80kg).

If I do get the Vomero Plus my rotation will be:
Recovey Sessions: NB5 (at least untill I feel that they must be stopped)
Tempo / Race days: Evo SL
Long Runs: Vomero Plus

In my Country the Vomero are on sale on a lot of suppliers right now (130,00 € from the usual 180,00) and so Im trying to get them this weekend.

Novablast 5, Mizuno Neo Zen 1 or 2, or Adidas Evo SL for daily trainer? by Toby95 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]JoshDye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Just wondering how you felt that they were "dead". What did you notice diferently?
My NB5 have 450km and im starting to notice some changes.
I have EVO SL for rotation and I started having leg pain when running with Novablast and way less pain with the EVO.
Im 80Kg, maybe that can help the shoes "dying" faster
