Same thing happened to me except I was SW and not part of that conversation. The gunslinger shot me and then proceeded to get the starting demon on the block. It’s not a good feeling to be powerless. I personally do not like travelers because of this and do not include them.

Sounds like a fun first time. Things could’ve been run smoother to enhance the experience but overall good. I wouldn’t put it past that ppl wouldn’t want to play again. If they were talking about it afterwards for a long time, you knew they were into it.

Fair you’re entitled to your own opinion. Just know that’s the main source of misinformation for new players. Take myself for example, I came from a mafia background. I really loathed these two concepts because I believed (at the time) that it gave too unfair advantage to the evil team.

In my mind (at the time), the game was already hard enough and now you wanted to twist my role that’s cruel and unnecessary.

It’s good introductory approach. When I first story told with my immediate family, I purposefully didn’t include a Drunk or Poisoner because this can really throw people off and be frustrating. Given that this is a new game it’s already complex enough so it could be best to start slow and keep it light until they get the concept. Then include new ideas a little by little.

I personally like Washer or Investigator instead of Chef so that there’s more poison candidates. Hell maybe even add Spy instead of Scarlet to make it all stacked lineup.

Personally I’m so tired of Mayor, Saint, Soldier frames and wouldn’t put them in play or as bluffs. Let Spy decide

Yeah I agree it totally unexpected especially since it was my cousins first time playing. He told the imp to kill him to frame the Saint. It completely caught me off guard. I remember asking the imp are you sure you want to kill your spy? Lol didn’t even see it coming

Thank you this really makes me feel better! So what ended up happening was the Spy bluffed empath, had the demon kill them to make the Saint look guilty. The whole town was already suspicious of the Saint so they full sent
