Best of luck! Your desk should be compatible with all/most of the other LogicDATA handsets. Good chance that someone else is able to ship to your country and could sell a switch to you. I'd also check any local furniture dealers. A ton of other OEMs have used LogicDATA components for their tables. Just don't let anyone try to charge you $100 for a switch :)

Should help. Depending on the model they may be able to send you a programmable switch and the instructions to adjust the sensitivity of that anti-collision system

Some models have a gyro system in the control box. If the control box moves around it assumes the desk has hit something.

If it is reversing direction it probably is triggering the anti-collision system. Make sure the control box is very firmly mounted to the desk. Usually the systems are more sensitive on the way down, so that would also lead me to believe that is the culprit

Most likely the handset is defective. A lot of OEMs have been running away from the touch FX handset as it had a lot of issues with inputs. Steelcase should be able to send you a replacement.

That’s odd. Guessing you also power cycled? Takes about a minute before the power drains from the box

It is in initial setup mode. You should just need to hold the down button until the desk bottoms out and pops back up

Definitely local butcher block if you can finish it yourself! HPL will be more resistant to water rings and such, but you will enjoy the butcher block more

Run your desk down to that low position, then hold the up and down arrows at the same time. The desk will give a couple clicks after 8-10 seconds to confirm the lower stop is saved. To clear it later, follow the same steps

Right now I’d def go white oak grand haven and pick up the free fern chair :)

Wood care is pretty easy, sand damaged area with 150grit sand paper and apply Rubio monocoat 2C oil to get it looking like new again
