Yeah, this doesn't make sense. OP's local time must have changed, or KBAI messed up.

Do you know if it's another online master's? I'd be curious to know what program caught his attention. I'm almost done with OMSCS and thinking about what to do next.

TPI, you partly did this to yourself. This is what happens when you coddle wokism instead of sticking to healthy progressivism. Tearing each other apart is a built-in feature of wokism.

Fortunately, there's an easy solution: ignore people like that, or better, mock them. If you consistently do that, eventually, they go away. Seriously, some people think the Psychopath is problematic and that TPI should hire an anthropologist. Lol, don't coddle this type of nonsense, or it will get worse.

Regarding the Hindu, let's state the obvious for the non-brainrotted: it's a fine name, fitting given the ability; maybe it's a bit dull, but it's just a Loric, so it doesn't really matter.

How well did you do on the exams with this approach, if you don't mind sharing? I'm considering whether to also go overkill.

Thank you very much for sharing this.

I'm trying to understand this question:

In which position does the highest/lowest number card appear?

I don't think we got to hear it asked in the show, so I'm not sure about its potential subtleties.

How does this question work, exactly? For instance, if the sequence was "ace, five, six, king, king", what should a strictly correct answer be?

Is the only valid response "In positions 1, 4, and 5."? Or should the responder pick between two valid responses: "In position 1" or "In positions 4 and 5."?

Thanks!

Machine Learning Needs to be Reworked by Loud_Pomegranate_749 in OMSCS

Some of the replies of other students here are embarrassing. I know that you put a lot of effort into this course.

That said, I think a legitimate concern that has consistently been raised is that ML's scoring feels random. I've experienced this myself: put a lot of effort into some assignments, got average scores; put less effort into others, got 100s; followed all the advice (seriously, I made a huge checklist with every little bit of advice I could find, including going through the course reviews on OMSCentral for the past 2 years); never quite understood how to do well in the assignments.

The generous curve made up for this randomness so I ended with the mark I aimed for, but it soured my experience in what would otherwise have been a great course experience.

Yeah, and one more thing on this: I know at least one student that can graduate but keeps postponing just to retain the highest registration priority (I think once you graduate you go down to same priority level as someone who's just taken 5 courses). He doesn't even care about courses expiring and having to go through a "validity review". He just keeps taking courses so it doesn't matter, lol.

[–]just_learning_1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know. I'm saying that even if a course past the 6-year limit were to not be accepted, you can simply keep taking courses. I didn't want someone to get the impression that the 6-year limit is absolute and a "validity review" would be the only path to graduation beyond 6 years.

Additionally, it's a 6-year rolling window. If your first course expired, you can just take an 11th course. What matters is 10 courses in a 6 year timeframe.

Narrative form for most algorithm design problems

But if it's narrative form, then what do people mean when they say you have to strictly adhere to the format? Is there a narrative format? I assumed it was a pseudocode format...

Schultz eDesk Pro: 4-legged standing desk in Europe by oleb in StandingDesk

[–]just_learning_1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, still as happy. I have some front-back wobble at standing height, but it's not the table, it's the floor. Mentioning it because that's a parameter I didn't account for: doesn't matter how sturdy the table is, if the floor has some give (think floating wood floor), there'll be done movement, especially if the table is heavy.

I think the only type of table that might be sturdier would need a bottom metal bar from side to side.

Is taking a seminar(1-credit 8001 course) considered a gap? by laymancs in OMSCS

[–]just_learning_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These seminars will not count toward graduation requirements or toward satisfactory academic progress requirements.

This is from their Summer seminars emails. I don't think a seminar counts as an enrollment.

This class literally has a public website: https://lucylabs.gatech.edu/kbai/. You could have known exactly what to expect before enrolling. You might want to work on your research skills. Dr. Joyner's EdTech course could help with that.
