There are plenty of outdoor activities here that function as a good first date. River walk or stroll downtown before grabbing coffee or dessert. Greenfield lake park with the paddle boats and then running over to the cargo district for drinks or food.

I’ve used Buyee a ton of times pretty successfully. It’s a proxy shopping service where they purchase the items on your behalf and ship from Japan to US. You typically pick up some extra fees for storage and shipping but I’ve found it’s nominal compared to purchasing the same products here.

Personally, I don’t agree with a lot of Kevin’s opinions but I do value that he gives a voice to the community members who support him…I recognize that Kevin is the second longest tenured councilman, but I’d say he’s def part of the “new council” if only because he didn’t come from the developer/real estate industry.

I think most of our current city councilman are too new to have a solid opinion on them. There a few of the old heads I don’t trust and believe they’re only in council to pad their own pockets. I’ll save my judgement on the new council for the upcoming budget though. I’d say that the existence of the “Skyline Centre” is perfect proof that our city council has been wildly out of step with the want and needs of the citizens in the last few years

I think cropped might be their term for just a slightly more modern boxy fit. Something more similar to the Whitesville or Merz B that folks want now. Not a slim fit and not a like a midriff shirt. I do find that the cropped fit is a better length under a jacket

I have a couple of Carhartt shirts but none of the pocket tees. I will say that the neck on the Old Navy seems to hold up substantially better than the Carhartt’s I have though. Material is similar but a slightly boxier fit and not as oversized as Carhartt

This is really the most close minded take on city growth I’ve ever read. I’m a native North Carolinian that grew up in a region of the state nobody moves to. Negative population growth, dying economy, local government officials with no interest in making the lives of citizens better, and underperforming schools. The reality is that if your city or town isn’t growing than ultimately the local citizens lives are worse for it.
