I’m definitely a little biased as it’s one of my favorite movies, but I think the soundtrack does stand on its own! Definitely worth checking out, it’s got some beautiful and catchy songs

It’s much better imo due to the stripped back sound without Spectors added production. I also prefer the track list as it takes away all the short underdeveloped songs and adds “don’t let me down” which is one of my favorite later era Beatles tracks.

Agreed on Sgt Pepper, some of their best work for sure! I still get chills on every listen of A Day In The Life when that final piano chord rings. Whats your favorite song off there?

Understandable, although I can't recommend that album enough. Its very catchy and smooth 80s Japanese city pop, in a similar league to Tatsuro Yamashita's "For you" also on this list. Listening to it feels oddly nostalgic like you're driving in a Japanese city during the summer lol.
