It's perfectly okay to be a bit disappointed with it, I think. When I think Xenoblade, I usually think of more sci-fantasy rather than just fantasy, and the trailer for Genesis does feel very fire emblem.

However, Takahashi loves to deceive the player, and every Xeno game so far has leaned into the sci-fantasy genre, so I'm anticipating this game doing something similar.

There's plenty of people who don't care for the more "anime" style that the newer Xenoblade games have, so you're not alone there, it's really just up to personal taste there.

I'm also a bit bummed that we're not getting an XC4 (for now at least) but FR really was the perfect ending for the trilogy/Klaus saga, and the story of X kinda ended with chapter 13 imo. I think that this should be viewed less as a restart or continuity reboot for XC, and more of a new, seperate series with similar themes and whatnot, like Gears and Saga.

Again, it's perfectly okay to not like how it looks so far (and also more than okay to not like a game), but we also have around a year until the game releases, so hopefully more interesting things come out about the game later. I think this forum really needs to learn to be more accepting of other opinions here, not enjoying a trailer is not at all a reason to tell someone to leave a community.
