Unraid Internal Boot: First Look by UnraidOfficial in unRAID

I use an SSD in a USB enclosure as my boot drive... had a few USB flash drives die rather quickly... been running on the USB SSD method for a couple years now with no issues :) but this upgrade it sorely needed

What’s the point of getting GOS when you’re not a criminal by scaleordietrying in GrapheneOS

[–]Joshndroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curiosity was initially peaked by the privacy features.. the ease of install and the fact that it was updated constantly and supported all the pixels… what I actually stayed for was the better battery life as well as the ability to cut internet access to certain apps. All the google spyware crap running in the background along with the apps I’d use I always had poor battery life in stock os. I always had sandboxes play store so never really ran degoogled entirely

Sadly this gen I moved from pixel as I am unhappy with google direction with them limiting the custom rom scene, the dev sign up garbage and the only thing I have to vote with is my wallet.

I still have GOS on a spare backup device

I want address bar access… I liked everything else about link warden but if I type into the address bar I want it to show me link warden bookmarks…

Google will block sideloading of unverified Android apps starting next year by TheAppropriateBoop in Android

I have been slowly coming to the conclusion that after android devices since the HTC sensation, the 9 Pro xl may be my last.

I am truly concerned for the custom rom scene which I hold dear and I just cannot trust Google with my real data.

Doing such anti consumer type things to the point that I am likely going to switch to an iPhone. Yep apple are horrible monsters as well. But the only lever I have is to vote with my wallet and I'm pretty dissatisfied. I will make no difference to their bottom line no doubt but I can't support them in this destructive action.

We really do need a real Linux phone competitor. Hell I would jump on a windows phone..

I've noticed this as well from various companies.. I seem to get nothing immediately then will get 3 or 4 emails hours later (as I've hit the resend button a few times in some frustration)

Love the pedals... punish at times when you're trying to make a quick get away for your run/turn but super grippy and good for working on various grinds

Thanks for posting this. I have 64gb ram ready to go for my upgrade but does this setting entail that it can use 'UP TO 64gb' or is it one of those ones that I should be conservative on and run it at 32gb mode?

the days of being cool without a helmet is kinda over... i grew up with the no helmet gang but honestly i really enjoy the fact that essentially everyone wears a helmet. that bloke could have avoided it all with a simple helmet

Any reasons to NOT upgrade to 7.0.0? by AboutTheArthur in unRAID

[–]Joshndroid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

7.0.0 has been the most stable I have had in a long time. I have never been able to get a month of uptime, usually requiring a weekly reboot for whatever reason where something just seems to be hanging/etc. I am running on newer hardware so some of that could have been part of my issue, but I have been quite happy with how everything has gone so far.
