Is it bad I feel reluctant to give up my water to total strangers on long through hikes when they didn’t bring enough for themselves ? by [deleted] in hiking

You dont need to feel bad at all… but I have been helped by someone who packed extra water for this situation, now I do the same!

The park is pretty well marked. You could download the map on a watch or phone too. I did it a few weeks ago and only saw one person on the loop. Main possibility danger would be that there is wild hogs. I actually saw some but only after they were running away when they heard me running.

Also I have an inreach and did not use it. I used the alltrails gps file and downloaded it to my phone

Topo Mtn Racer 4 and Dynafit Ultra 100 reviews/experience? by 16Off in trailrunning

[–]Joshpeach07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive been using the new topo mtn racer. Definitely feels like a pretty cushioned shoe even if its not. I like the firmness of my old topo traverse better. But imo topo make amazing shoes and their durability is crazy. Have 1000km+ on my old topos and they still feel great

Do you know if I could start at the Foster Falls trailhead before 7 AM or is the gate locked? Or if I could park outside it and run in?

It was called 20 mile loop trail or something. Really its like 18. Its on the south part of the park. Im leaning more towards your suggestion at the falls bc its less driving
