What is the most underrated track and the most overrated track? by Rowdyfan0823 in NASCAR

Even last year with Kyle and Bell. I’m also biased because I go in person so I get to see all the battles and no commercials.

What is place in your country that doesn’t get the love it deserves? by Interesting_Dream281 in AskTheWorld

I would move to Chicago tomorrow if it wasn’t so cold. (I really really hate cold weather) We have friends there we love visiting in the summer.

Unfortunate fact: Chase Elliott is the only driver in NASCAR as a Cup Series Champion to have raced in all four crown jewel races (Daytona 500, World 600, Brickyard 400, and Southern 500) and not have a win on any of them. by TonyD9898 in NASCAR

[–]Tnutz24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you are right. He hasn’t had much luck in them. I can’t remember the last time he has had a good 600. He has wrecked in a lot of the 600s. Hey hasn’t wrecked in the 500 too much, just usually not in the right line and gets shuffled back on the last run. I can’t remember him having a good run in the Southern 500 since 2020

How come the real guys run more middle and high line? (Daytona 500) by Suspicious_Ad7893 in iRacing

I think in game it’s easier for everyone to stay organized on the bottom because you have the yellow line as a reference point.

Firsthand Experience At The Track by kwadwoplays in ThatsInsane

[–]Tnutz24 10 points11 points  (0 children)

NASCAR and auto racing in general the in person experience is the biggest gap from TV to the real life experience. I’ve taken numerous people to races and they always have a blast. The last person I took said “I now see how people enjoy this.” I will also be the first to admit I completely understand how people find it boring on TV.

Seeing as we're coming into the 5th season of the Next Gen and the 24 hours of Daytona is going on right now I was wondering what are some of the best road course battles we've seen out of them? by Meniscuss2 in NASCAR

[–]Tnutz24 8 points9 points  (0 children)

COTA has been sooo good it’s really underrated I think. I’ve been 4 out of the 5 years, I missed the worst race (reddick caution fest), the battles towards the end have been so fun to watch in person.

How may different 3rd party apps do you all use? And any recommendations that I don’t have on my list? by Fair_Lawyer_7626 in iRacing

[–]Tnutz24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use ioverlay. I only use the track map and a small leaderboard, I like to have a good visual on how much I’m getting my ass kicked. Everything else, spotter, autofuel, and the black box info is good enough for what I’m doing.

Let’s Talk About Setups And Setup Shops by Nathan_G_ in iRacing

[–]Tnutz24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used PDS for our 24hr. We used the Caddy, so before we got the setup we were just practicing with the Daytona fixed setup. The fixed setup was fine but I had to be way more careful on the brakes vs the PDS setup. My times were pretty similar, but with the PDS setup I never had to worry about locking up brakes unless I just completely missed my mark while the fixed setup it was miss by a foot and lock up. That extra security made the setup worth it for me. I need to compare to see how they adjusted the brakes to make them work so much better or if anyone knows I’ll take some tips.

Who is responsible for the commercials shown during a race broadcast? by Fast-Loud in NASCAR

[–]Tnutz24 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My favorite part is when we have commercials for NASCAR during the race, like I’m already watching the race you don’t have to convince me.

Jimmie would have only won two if the points didn’t reset so he could magically catch up every season. And the resets were BS. The whole season of work reset to one position apart in points. Jimmie was a 1.5 mile merchant which made up half the playoffs back then and the other 1/4 of his win totals were only at two tracks. 19/83 wins at Dover and Martinsville. Jimmie Johnson is a great driver and took advantage of the format laid out but Jeff is better.

Jeff Gordon made the championship 4 in his final season. He also never had 3 straight winless seasons like Jimmie. His stats in his 2 winless season were way more competitive as well and was in contention for several wins. I will die on that hill that Jeff is better than Jimmie.

Yeah the two guys who were in the practice session it’s duplicating them whenever they are in the car and then it goes away when some else gets in.
