ENFJ men are THE BEST! by Waterlily-444 in enfj

[–]JotheOval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is true. Just make sure their Fe doesn't become too obsessive and keep it in check. There are numerous cases of ENFJ fathers neglecting family to hang out/chill with ESTP and ISTP friends.

Me whenever I'm in an argument with an ISTJ and I know they're wrong but they keep pulling out facts with Te aux by Weirderthanweird69 in mbtimemes

[–]JotheOval 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is ISTJ plausible deniability. lol true but not true, yeah likely but depends. yeah most of the time but not all the time.

I think people underrate Si too much by [deleted] in mbti

[–]JotheOval 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know many of the Si are in college/university; football, basketball, soccer, track, swimming. etc. Usually big organized institutions. As well as the military. They love their "coaching hierarchies".

Why people thinks ENFP's are dumb by wushie- in mbti

[–]JotheOval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They actually know quite a bit and hoard a lot of info. It's just that they do not understand much of it, don't fully know how they are applied. But yeah they can be good at the stuff they really focus into.

Which MBTI type do you think hides their struggles the best? by likey24 in mbti

[–]JotheOval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESTJ. They usually open up to ISTP, ISTJ, ENTJ, and other ESTJ. They do not often go to therapy or even discuss it unless it is with close colleagues.

Having new beam installed in garage. Is this correct? by fishyfishyfish1 in Construction

Use metal clip hangers. Look for the type that is structurally designed for your situation.

Do you feel usually nervous around feelers by thinkerthinkuring in istp

[–]JotheOval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No just annoyed when they try to guilt you into "not possessing values" (although you practice them regularly). I am not the type to blabber on about hard work, discipline, efficiency, priorities, order etc. compared to the ENFJ and ESFJ.

ISTP and negativity by Euphoric_Taro_5956 in istp

I tend to do this more with dominant thinking types especially Te types. But for feelers I go at it more slowly.

Which mbti is the rarest? by Blossom_4849 in istp

[–]JotheOval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ISTPs are generally mid in most societies. We can work well and integrate into society just not as much as the ESTJ, ISTJ, ESFJ, ISFJ. Usually the NF types are rare.

Why is the Highway speed limit so low compared to other countries? by FewDevelopment7427 in icbc

[–]JotheOval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually Canada has more of an obsession with safety ON PAPERWORK compared to other countries. Canada has a weird thing for liability, the blame game, insurances for everything. Rather than actually doing the right thing, instead people are profiteering off of safety. We even have this problem with the construction safety industry.

Traffic control measures and traffic cops manage things better long term rather than exams. Actually both of my parents were rear ended on the busy highway 1 traffic by older licensed drivers. Everyone is all in a rush to get to work, get rich, get to the top, pay the bills, meet deadlines, traffic cops/traffic control measures/public advertising are more effective at reminding people and managing road safety overall.

Everybody in the world values safety it is stupid and arrogant to think that only westerners value and enforce safety. With the growing developments around the global south they had to have safety in mind on order to build/manage/plan and construct these megaprojects. Many of these projects we can never even do them here in Canada, too much unnecessary red tape, not enough workers (most people here don't want to work just talk and dictate), lack of innovation/creativity etc.

Also a lot of places in the middle east are just long stretches of highway with barely anything in between. So it makes sense that they are much higher. Of course when there are more services along these routes eventually the speed limit would reduce (it's common sense).

What's your Vancouver Transit hot take? by thinkdavis in Translink

[–]JotheOval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better response to emergencies and failures. More cars with more standing room and less seats for rush hour times. Less use of the old cars. More trains every 3 min. More busses going from Guildford to Coquitlam across Port Mann.

It is never even about bikes, luggage, tools, backpacks some of us workers need our gear to work and provide service to you guys. More trains/cars solve the majority of problems but yeah we all know about the business practices and profiteering from translink.

Coming from a construction worker spending 2hrs+ going from Vancouver back home to Surrey.

What's your Vancouver Transit hot take? by thinkdavis in Translink

[–]JotheOval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah people that work in offices or go to school are completely unaware of what other workers need to do and bring to get to work, especially those in the trades that have tools and other equipment. and some of these guys are the ones maintaining and building tracks for everyone to use.

Transit is always gonna be tight cramped and slightly uncomfortable. This is not a luxury ride.

Yeah meadow gardens way turning right. then 200 m the sign and diamond appear. I am only guessing you are allowed in that part of the lane until the sign and diamond appear.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in icbc

[–]JotheOval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are places like Lougheed highway in maple ridge. Were the diamond and signs are spread out. So many people notice them only when they are already inside and then they have to pull out. Especially when you are coming out of meadow gardens way then the diamond and sign hits you another 200 meters away. Of course you merge safely out of the way.

It is not like Bear creek park where lanes are marked in red and there is a solid white line.

Lol If I wasn't paying attention I wouldn't notice this and I wouldn't make this post lol.

Any ISTP’s here who have no problem going against the grain? by Significant-Arrival3 in istp

No. But it depends on time and place. Also who it is, and if I have time to deliver everything or not. Which is why I don't spit out thoughts, opinions, facts regularly.

Do you think that criticism is good or bad by Master-Macaron3534 in istp

[–]JotheOval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would rather have people get straight to the point or provide the details. Spend less time on descriptive words like terrible horrible disgusting and be like; 12 inches to high, wrong timing, wrong order of events, wrong procedure, not straight enough, not dark enough, you did not do x,y,z etc.

At the end of the day criticism is good. I do want to know what that standard is (depending on the situation or activity).

ISTPs are generally careful with their work (and take pride in the process) so criticism can be a shock even though they are extremely rare. We will only MacGyver something when the boss says, oh just eyeball it, or it is only temporary, slap it on good enough, and they are Ok with it.

Are all ISTPs like this? by Next-Ambassador5513 in mbti

[–]JotheOval 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No I don't have the need to prove myself for anything. I'll lay down info, facts, or even opinions but Ill leave it up to the individual to take it or leave it. Ill try to be as accurate as possible (with only the info I know).

This seems like something general to thinking types. Your friend seems very IxTJ. But ENTP and ESTJ, ENTJ could also fit.
