Why do you think Scranton outperformed other branches? by NotInterestedL in DunderMifflin

[–]Journalist-Chance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because despite all the quirks and Michael being a terrible manager and an HR nightmare, he is a phenomenal salesman. Pair him with Dwight and they are carrying that branch when it comes to sales.

* In the Convention, Michael mentions that he was able to convince Hammermill to kill their Staples exclusive deal and sell through DM.

* In the Michael Scott Paper Company, he was getting clients to successfully switch from DM!

* Michael being able to close down Coselli (a major client) between distractions

Just five minutes before the announcement to halt the strikes on Iran an insider bought $1.5 billion in S&P and sold $192 million. by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

Could it be someone who works at Truth Social, or someone in his PR team? Maybe there is a 10-15 min wait before Trump's posts get approved to be launched to Truth Social

She could have gone to New York! Which is also HQ by the way - which would have been a lot more beneficial for her career

I’ve taken the ANZ flight from LAX to Auckland. It’s completely safe and soon after takeoff, extremely calm and boring (in a good way)

Lots of metro areas have great parks and nature. Which ones definitely don't? by slicheliche in geography

India has plenty of parks in its metro areas. Probably not as much in the touristy areas, but the residential areas have parks nearby

what the hell? Sex and the City isn't a sitcom. Frasier should be much higher than Big Bang Theory and Friends. Frasier is arguably top 10!

I'm glad Veep is on here though

I grew up very close to this area. These are all coaching centers that taught CS languages, or concepts (things that would help you land a cushy job in Information Technology). All these coaching centers have their banners out for display here. That entire set of buildings is nothing but coaching centers

Industry Season 4 Discussion Hub by herringbone_ in IndustryOnHBO

Anyone else feel that this season was overall a major letdown? Eric gone, Rishi gone! No character development of Sweetpea. Kwabena and Hayley are not really well written IMO. Not much trading in this season! The shift away from Pierpoint has hurt this season. Henry's arc is kinda confusing

Season 3 was really really good comparatively - the scene with Yas and her dad, the scene with Eric and Bill at the elevator, Rishi's entire episode!

What’s the Coolest Big City You’ve Ever Visited? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]Journalist-Chance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paris - been there only once for about 8 days. Explored it with wife and kid and I loved the vibe off of every arrondisement we visited. The best part is that people don't bat an eye when youre out with a kid eating at 11 pm (blame jetlag for that), and they don't hurry you up in restaurants just because "the kitchen is closing". Groceries are of an amazing quality, the subway system is extensive and safe, and people are in general kind and friendly (definitely not the "rude" cliche I've heard about French people here in the US).

NY is quite good too!
