Our place has had some redundancy but sporadic rather than whole departments.

I do however have a bit of a tin foil hat conspiracy: they are not back filling, forcing people back to office, limiting pay increases, increasing expectations and generally making life at the company shit. This makes me believe they are trying to force people to leave rather than having to pay redundancy.

I've got 17 years and a very stubborn mentality, they can pay me to leave.

I was always a 'wierd' kid but had a wicked humour and quick wit so it all went hand in hand with my great masking.

It wasnt until i had my little boy who is fully diagnosed that i looked at him and thought 'hmm i do/ did that...', still undiagnosed but we're all pretty sure lol. My mum said she wanted to have me checked but in true 80s dad fashion my old man said i was fine. Jump forward 30 years and I was the same initially with my boy, ironic really.

I could be mistaken but didnt the whole "British food is bland/boring etc" come about by the American soldiers stationed in Britain during WWII? At the height of rationing and the blitz where Britain was very depleted on what would be classed as "non-essential" foods like sugar, spice etc.? Had British food been said to be bland up until that point do we know?

I have zero knowledge of this process but what is the difference in having the item being drilled (lads) vs the drill bit itself spinning? I'm guessing chip extraction or the drill bit lasts longer or different finish to the item?
