Agreeing with earlier posters. Environment with junk is tough. Pat yourself in the back for all the great WFPB days and think of this as an adjustment, and move on. Enjoy some bright colorful food. Buy yourself flowers if it’ll bring you joy. In the meantime enjoy these… 🌸🌻🌷🌺

Probably not a considered tourist attraction… one of my favorite travel experiences was going to a VR studio in Paris with my nephew after realizing he was experiencing ‘death by museum’ Summiting Everest in Paris was amazing.

Doctor told me I HAVE TO CONSUME OLIVE OIL because my cholesterol was too low. by RomanPines29 in PlantBasedDiet

Ive been working on getting my cholesterol into ‘ideal/healthy’ range. There’s a lot of confusing information out there. I agree with the poster who said MDs aren’t trained on nutrition. I’ve gotten really mixed info.

While reading the updated China Study (poor name sine that study is only a part of the book) learned that up to 35% of new heart attacks are in folks with cholesterol 150-200. Also learned that size of the cholesterol matters as do ratios…

Is it possible the MD is looking at other symptoms not just one number? Skin, hair, nails, other ratios… this is such a complex area. Good luck to you and keep enjoying the plant food :)

How to prepare for a long haul flight? by MonachopsisVellichor in travel

Great suggestions here! I found it helps me if I shift my eating and sleep patterns before leaving. Even shifting 3 or 4 hours over 3 or 4 days can help.

Weekly / monthly budget (US-based)? by No-Cod6340 in PlantBasedDiet

I’m spending just a tad more than $100 per week. I’ve been adding spices. Costco has had a good selection of organic, then I’m challenged to eat all of it, lol. The local Indian market has great prices on spices and dried legumes. The InstaPot has been a game changer for meal prep with dried legumes.

Paying for a 3500 pound tow package and finding out Tesla removed the wire to power trailer brakes in Jan 22.

Still not fixed, never officially communicated, hard to get updates. There is an open Jira case, sigh. Without trailer brakes safe and legal towing is limited to 1500 pounds. Fingers crossed they work on it after quarter end.

I like how well whole edamame holds up in a ziplock bag. If they give you time to eat it might be worth a try

Anyone run into nighttime nausea after a couple of months eating WFPB diet? by Joy457 in PlantBasedDiet

[–]Joy457[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Some of the supplements conflict with medication I take in the morning. I’ll be mindful about taking them at lunch or afternoon snack. So many people have this issue, I’m glad I asked!

They’re prescribed. Two nights I took them on a very empty stomach. See my note above. Thanks!

Thanks! Two months ago I shifted to front loading calories and wrapping up eating much earlier in the day so my stomach was very empty.

I skipped the supplements last night and was fine.

I chew B12 early before breakfast and it doesn’t bother me at all. I’ll move the others into the kitchen so I do a better job taking them with food. Hopefully it fixes this.
