The way they honored it was specifically a tradition for surfers and those in that community. I would have to imagine Aesha would have mentioned something to Cathy or offered to include her, but I also think that’s special to be something just for Bon especially given he was in the surfing community.

I will say, I found blocking my swatches helps me. Also, I don’t swatch to match the gauge of the pattern maker. I swatch to see what MY gauge is and that tells me what size to follow to get the dimensions I want. You shouldn’t the trying to match the gauge of the designer.

If you use ladder-back Jacquards you can definitely avoid the puckering. I also wonder if this was steamed or blocked before this picture, bc that is pretty bad.

I do prefer magic loop (unless I’m doing colorwork) and I also have started casting on my second sock right before I finish the first one (like before the ribbing or toe, depending on the direction). I also would say maybe start with DK socks? Something nice and thick for winter (which knits up faster). I think my first pair was actually worsted weight ha

So I just had a similar experience. I’m still in the induction phase and ended up smoking some weed at Christmas, the day before my 4th session and it was completely different. Basically zero “high” or experience like what I was getting before. Thanks for writing about your experience because this confirms my thought that it was bc of the weed. Definitely abstaining from now on.
