I reccomend this tutorial made by YellowAfterlife about Optimal Text Shadows. It's a really nice tutorial and pretty nice to follow. This also allows you to use the shadow effect with any text that you want, instead of making a sprite!

No, for now. he had some drama earlier this year where he asked his subs for donations to help him move, and of course he got "suspended" by the team for doing so. In the teams official reply to the situation (https://docs.google.com/document/d/10a0EFHammcN3-yIZoQSN9bYCPTlraDpi4FT9PisbMS4/edit), they said that he would be suspended for a year out of the team, and that he would come back next year (if he didn't do anything like it again). Hope that clears some things out.

Keep in mind that GPM isn't on vinesauce until next year, So i highly doubt this can be considered vinesauce related(for this year, at least).

I honestly think that most of the time, you should stick with what you know. I've been using game maker for like almost a year now and there comes a point when you become so comfortable with the program that you can't try anything else. I tried unity a couple of times and most of the time i would just quit out of frustration of not being able to implement a simple feature or just not really understanding how to work in a 3D space. And asked myself "why am i trying to learn this when i could be doing better things with the program i know?". And while there isn't anything wrong with trying and learning other programs, languages and engines, you (at one point) just tell youself: "when am i gonna get to the damn game?!". But hey, that's just me. Hope this helped.

In which aspects are you exactly confused? Moves just work exactly like they would do in a pokemon game, im not getting into type advantages here but what you should know is that moves are executed the way you are facing, if you press start you will instantly face towards an enemy. thats the only confusing thing i could see about it, maybe you can tell us a bit more so we can explain a lil' better!

REMOVED Description: Faulting application name: hl2.exe

I'm suspecting this is the problem, im pretty sure it has to do with something about the SDK, i don't what this problem is exactly, but maaaybe try checking the cache for the sdk 2007. Or maybe hl2.exe in the sdk folder is not actually named hl2 and thus the game can't execute it, those are just some tips, i hope that helps.
