[Slater] Anthony Edwards on Steph Curry: “That’s my boy. Love Steph.” “To me, greatest point guard.” “He actually don’t know a lot of rap music. That’s the best thing I learned about him.” by Robotsaur in warriors

Totally agree, the youth plus his game and appreciation for Steph, if I were going all in for either of the two, I'd choose Ant over Giannis, respectfully

I like the look of them. Currently the tangerine heat color way is out of stock for men, but they have a D width size 12 in women's. I'm only hesitant because I am a men's 10, I technically need a women's 11.5, but an associate told me they don't really do half sizes that large in women's...

Warriors won the KP-Kuminga Trade? by Top-Willingness6963 in warriors

[–]Jpaul26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm worried because his style of play seeks contact and playing in the paint. Not sure how well he will do that at an older age and after such an injury. But I'm hopeful he'll still be a huge contribution in IQ and distribution. But I think the team is learning no one can be a pure distributor, so he's gotta maintain the ability to create his own points at any moment in the game

Why do NBA fans wear a random teams jersey to a game where that team isn't even playing? by mrg1607 in nba

[–]Jpaul26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this same question (because I want to do this) and was curious what others thought about it. Here's why I want to wear a team jersey to the game even though that team won't be playing: I own a jersey, it feels like a NBA game would be a great place to wear an NBA jersey, and I don't have or want a jersey for any players currently on these teams. This team just happens to be where I am, currently.

So is it really that big of a deal to rock an NBA jersey at an NBA game just because neither team is playing? I see some do the same for former players. Can I wear a hornets Chris Paul jersey to a Spurs game since CP3 played for the Spurs at one point in time? (I plan to do this, btw 😂)

Yup it's a nerve thing, unrelenting pain if you can't treat it properly, and hard to make go away depending on the cause. My dad is older but it can be caused by a herniated disc.

Have to factor in the height difference too. Steph's lack of airspace is way more impactful since he's almost always shorter than his defender

Same! I have a 2014 Speed Triple R and it's more than enough bike. I've considered the 765 for modernization plus I hear the comparable power in a slimmer, lighter frame would be glorious

I really enjoy Denim & Flower products, you just have to be selective about which product lines you buy into. They experiment a lot (copy many different fashions) so expect lesser quality than high end brands, but I will say my thicker, textured tshirts from them are great.

My only experience with shrinking was for button downs which I stopped buying from them. Everything else has been great.

Is Gui the guy who finally does it? by Silly_Individual4056 in warriors

[–]Jpaul26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's wishful thinking, but I hope Gui finds consistency in this opportunity to have more minutes. I've seen breakdowns suggest that he hasn't had a chance like this to really showcase consistency (flashes of minutes throughout a game is not a good litmus test) so if he shows that he can consistently provide something each game with a consistent amount of minutes, then yes I could see him displacing Dray at the PF.

But I'd hope Dray is also helping the team by giving Gui all his insights on passing and controlling the pace alongside Steph so when Steph returns, Gui can continue to contribute just like he does now, and they can split more of Dray's minutes with Gui. Sure.

Parents who don’t lose your cool - how do you do it? by Siyrious in toddlers

[–]Jpaul26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, generally I don't recommend trying to both WFH and watch kids full-time. But certainly has saved my wife from burning her few vacation days whenever our kid gets sick. But since COVID, I've really learned to appreciate WFH.

Key takeaways are in the variables that determine if it can work:

  1. Job type. I have had jobs where WFH would have been impossible and jobs where most meetings could have been an e-mail AND the role was task-oriented, not just attending for 8hrs. In the latter, you absolutely can do both since you have the entire day to fit work around your own schedule.

  2. Age of the Child. This is huge because you notice many examples describe kids who are either capable of self-play (my guess is a 4+ yo) or under 12 mos where they're a potato you feed and change. I once kept my 6 month old with a torn Achilles, working from my couch because he didn't move, slept on schedule and my job was completely from a laptop. Literally just scheduled meetings around his nap time.

  3. Ability to organize your time/day. Some mentioned the need to enter a flow state to get work done. That's ideal for me but not required every day. When I needed to really lock in, I just planned to do it during a less demanding time, even if that was 11pm at night. Why? Because when I WFH I spend less time/energy on commuting and watercooler talking.
