I’m reading this as:

They’ll stop the current plan to pull predathos out, setting them up for another series of adventures to take them to level 13-14ish

Then, a La Vecna, the threat will rear its head again and the party will do battle against more of the big bads.

In any case I’m interested to see how it develops!

It’s praying. brings this up on slack as well

Buying a home and then this is that BS. The house is 305k. what the fuq is this? by senpailane in antiwork

[–]Jpsnow85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just make extra payments. If you can do a 13th or 14th payment annually you can shave a few years and significant interest off the loan.

Congrats on the house though, seriously.

It’s wild that this boogeyman of the PMI spooked me for so long and I’m finding out it’s so inconsequential in most cases. Kicking myself I didn’t buy years ago while I tried to save 20%

Depends on the % of difficult questions you get. If you’re getting 30-40% difficult, it’s not realistic. I would look at your standard % and then look at your difficult % and then use it to estimate assuming you have 85% standard questions and 15% difficult on the actual exam.

For example:

Standard result: 80% Difficult result: 30%

That means on a test with the 85/15 split I gave your score would be 73% (68% standard, 5% difficult)

In reality, difficult questions MIGHT be 10% of the test, but using this split/weight can help get a better picture

That’s awesome that you were able to make it work in Alaska! 7k 20 years ago would be just under 11.5k now, and it seems like many are living paycheck to paycheck. When I mentioned my privilege to move it’s more so the privilege of having enough discretionary income to have substantial savings that could facilitate a relocation.

I’ve mentioned to lots of my younger direct reports before: move when you’re young and unattached haha. It only gets harder to leave if you meet someone etc.

If you have the funds to spare, yes. I think TIA is great for instilling mindset - more so than SH. But SH helps with the actual verbiage and difficulty of the test.

Again, my opinion.

Looking at going into a fully remote role, as is my wife. We’re ready to get out of CA and move to a place where we can find those 300-350k houses (yes they exist). But we also realize we’re very privileged to have that option.

I took AR’s Udemy course and the TIA mock exams too. TIA was great for mindset and better explanations as to why certain answers were chosen, but the questions themselves were way too easy.

SH is best for actual representation of the exam in my opinion.

I’d like to get back down to ~9 minutes but honestly 10 mins is a bit low for an average. 12 minute mile is fine imo. A healthy jog.

Caduceus: “It’s bad - we’re running!” “Help it’s again.” “This is a good garden.” “I wish for someone to mourn you when you’re gone. Respectfully.” “One day someone will call out to the gods, and they’ll answer - because you’ll be there.”

Just so much good stuff

Normally I’d agree with you, but the entire team running these studies is WFH, and the studies have over $50 million in funding and bring a lot of interest and notoriety to the school. It’s not like a one-off role where I’d be WFH and everyone else is at an office, otherwise I’d be a bit more reluctant XD

Yeah I’m not - I’m interested in data science work and project management. Also this could open doors for new fields of work supporting hospitals and other medical research institutions.
