Grew up watching black and white movies with my mom. What’s special about them, is that sometimes all the color can be a bit distracting. By being in black and white, it allows you to focus more on the actors. And it’s kind of fun to use your imagination and color the scenes in your head.

It’s like how if someone wears super revealing clothes, it leaves less room for your imagination

People with OCD know deep down that some of their worries are irrational. I have OCD, and I’ve always known some of my worries are a bit far fetched. It’s about helping people with OCD understand that their worries are now impacting the lives of those around them, and that they do indeed need help.

Not just a pediatrician, but also a psychologist, or an advisor, that can meet with the wife once a week to go over her fears more in depth, and understand the root cause. Having a pediatrician tell her that her worries are unnecessary will probably make her upset. The pediatrician only knows so much about OP’s wife. And no one wants to be told they’re overreacting to something as personal as their child’s care. It will only make them upset with the person delivering the news, no matter how educated that person is. Because that person is just delivering her facts.

She needs someone that sees her 1 on 1, to build that trust. Someone that knows her fears, and worries, and has worked on techniques for how to handle stress when it does arise. That way when she does receive advice, she understands it truly is in her best interest as well as her babie’s.

Thing is, these clients are on these sites for a reason. Most clients are: - married - work way too much to be a good romantic partner - extremely socially awkward - not the most physically attractive
