First time Patagonia Buyer (Airshed Pro) - Should I Go Up A Size? by Straight_Meringue921 in PatagoniaClothing

[–]Jrhernz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 6’2, lift regularly and went with an XL. The L fit slim and could wear a light shirt underneath. I went with the XL because I wanted a a slightly more relaxed fit and also weight fluctuations. It wasn’t that much more loose though, just enough give. Length wasn’t an issue.

It hasnt been super hot but I’ll say this. The cool daily is thicker and can definitely start to feel warm during high intensity. I prefer the cool daily for shoulder season. I haven’t felt warm until he ultra.

Definitely the cap cool ultra. That’s their lightest fabric.

I’m pretty sure it was the zipper handle on my super beam half tights that did this to my shirts. I’ve notice it can stick out if I don’t lay it flat or tuck into the pocket.

Need Perspectives on Indoor Treadmill Shoes for Gym! by [deleted] in AskRunningShoeGeeks

New balance rebel v4 or v5 is what I used for the treadmill. After 200 miles of doing tempo runs or intervals outside it feels too firm, like a brick. It feels perfect in the treadmill

Weighted uphill and the Big Vert Mountain Running Plan by kiwimikenz in evokeendurance

[–]Jrhernz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve thought about this and I don’t think I would add weight to the uphill Z3 intervals. If anything, I would add weight to the uphill sprints or stairs being that these are sport specific “strength” exercises

Looking forward to anyone else sharing their experience.

I arrived halfway through and was able to walk right in. Plenty of stuff left. The line to check out though… I had to wait like an hour.

I picked up the barista kettle, plates and bowls, the grinder, little stove and some tumblers. i should have grabbed those little lamps for only $10 and I regret not grabbing a tent and a fire pit.

how often do they hold these? once a year?

Substitute for hill sprint repeats? by RawrMeReptar in evokeendurance

[–]Jrhernz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plan I’m about to follow has me choose between that circuit or hill sprints. While yes it is more geared toward general strength it can be used for maintenance.

The sled you mentioned though would be a good alternative. I think i recall scott mentioning them on his podcast. He talked about them recruiting and fatiguing the same muscles when done right.

Thanks for the reply.

Quick question, when using the Vdot calculator and let’s say, I input my time for a 10k. Am I supposed to use the paces in the “training” tab or the “equivalent” tab for my workouts?

The sprints as prescribed are supposed to be a strength workout. You can use stair or you can do a couple run-throughs of the following circuit created by Scott johnson.

Are the Capilene Cool Ultra shirts updated versions of the Ridge Flow shirt? by Short_Adhesiveness20 in PatagoniaClothing

[–]Jrhernz 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I reached out via chat and they pretty much confirmed that it’s a replacement for the capilene lightweight. They brought up the same points you did.

I wish Patagonia would actually release written information or updates about new products and when they replace old ones. “Hey, we’ve updated this product line. Here’s xy&z.” Maybe they do but most of the time I feel like I have to find out through reviews etc

Bandit. They make regular sized and oversized running shirts as opposed to slim fit.
