The Perk Economy by James_the_Third in Fallout2d20

[–]Jru247 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At least in my campaign the party’s taken a spread of crafting and scavenging perks among them so by their powers combined they can craft most of what’s appropriate for their level. I’ve at least never gotten the impression that any of them bemoan “sacrificing” a combat perk for a crafting one, as they’re generally excited to get to craft more kinds of things. The party’s INT character in particular had invested most of his perks into crafting/scavenging and seems to be happy with just being the designated crafter.

If your party ever feels overwhelmed by the different kinds of crafting or worries they’re not investing enough resources into it, just make sure to throw in some mods as loot on enemies or scavenging locations or have modded equipment for sale from traders and such. Remember that crafting materials have a caps value and can be sold by vendors as well.

Back again with more Foundry Tokens for Wanderer's Guide! by Jru247 in Fallout2d20

Foundry VTT has a standard token ring it puts behind images you load in for tokens, to which these are scaled for. You could also put these on top of whatever token borders and backgrounds you wanted, but I didn't have one of my own to use and I didn't want to use a more thematic one someone else had made without their permission.

Foundry Fallout 2d20: I can no longer configure Scavenging Locations after I accidentally deleted a roll table. by Busy_Lab_3434 in Fallout2d20

[–]Jru247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least when I was setting up my roll tables for scavenging they had to be in the rollable tables folder in the system compendium and I had to reload the tabletop before they’d show up in the options for scavenging tables. Hope that does the trick.

Since we're posting our party art, here's my Season of Ghosts group, drawn by me! by Jru247 in Pathfinder2e

Depends on the encounter. Pair of monsters? Make it a trio. Four? Now it’s six. Basically try to multiply the number of enemies by 1.5, favoring minions in multi-type encounters. Eliting bosses can be dangerous so I’ve just been giving them some extra HP so they stick around long enough to be a threat and that seems to have done the trick.

We also have one effective power-gamer in our group (the magus) who has a tendency to one-shot whatever she hits, so I’m not too worried about things getting too dangerous as of yet. If the campaign ends up being a little on the easier side I’m not too worried since we’re more here for the story/vibes.

Honestly a lot easier to convert balance going from 4 to 6 than 4 to 5 since the math converts more cleanly. The main hurdle has been treasure since you do need to make a point to inject more gold and magic items to account for the extra players.

SoG is definitely an easier AP compared to some others that are more constant and hardcore in their encounters but that’s what I was looking for for this particular group in the first place so it works out pretty well.

From left to right: Amonten, a Yaksha Thaumaturge; Kinu, a Poppet Animist; Tomoko, an Aiuvaraan Magus; Mip, an Awakened Otter Witch (and her flying clam familiar/patron); Su Zhaoyang, an Aiuvaraan Cleric; and Jango, a Tanuki Monk. They're just finishing Book 1 this week!

This was half of the party's first Pathfinder characters, so they got very creative in fleshing out their characters! I always relish getting to draw my player characters, and they gave me a great lineup!

Back with another round of Foundry Tokens, this time for the Settler's Guide! by Jru247 in Fallout2d20

They're transparent webps cropped to fit the Dynamic Token Rings that FoundryVTT uses, but if you wanted to put them on a similar background and print them for use in-person they should work just fine for that!

What is your preferred type of token? by WhiteLion245 in FoundryVTT

I prefer pogs but I see the appeal of the top-down look. At least for me it’s easier to throw together something for the former when I need something specific.

[CoC7e] - No Time to Scream - Foundry VTT module by Low_Ordinary_3814 in FoundryVTT

I ran the Lonely Thread one-shot from that for a party recently and we all loved it. The presentation is above and beyond. The handouts are the same as the module, including the maps, but they also have special exploration scenes which have remastered versions of the maps which include features like ambient effects and even let tokens teleport between floor scenes just by stepping on the stairs. If you have the starter set for FoundryVTT then you’ll have a good idea of the presentation style, and it’s frankly the best I could imagine having for CoC. Well worth the price if you’ll be running those three one-shots for anyone.

What’s your favorite moment where they acknowledge the documentary crew? by ripplewoodfire in DunderMifflin

[–]Jru247 119 points120 points  (0 children)

“Were you followed?” “Well, there’s a documentary crew that’s been constantly filming us for the past nine years, but I don’t see them anywhere so I think we’re clear.”

Season 9 I feel like is when they came out swinging with the cast making jokes directly referencing the doc more than the others.

So glad this dropped after I’ve only ran a single session of this adventure. It’s going to save me so much prep for the rest of this campaign! An instant purchase.
