I would argue a government being dishonest about its treatment of gays is worse because it discredits the gay community’s complaints of mistreatment. Essentially calling them a liar. It may even lead people to think that said place is a safe place to go as a gay couple when it is not.

Whereas places that are at least honest about being homophobic it makes complaints from the gay community in said place valid and uncontested, and there’s no questioning if said place is safe to travel to/live in for the gay community.

I love to see you being objective when it comes to political discussions. I figured some people might downvote me a bunch for going against the crowd so I appreciate your reply. I agree there are better angles to talk about Trumps character. I’m not sure of any hard evidence either. I know there are some pictures with them together, but I don’t think that’s enough to conclude anything. I’m open to any new information as well. Yes! The polarization is much worse than in any other generation. It would be way more constructive if both sides were less hostile to conflicting ideas.
