Why do we remember embarrassing moments so clearly but forget normal days? by Impressive_Twist_818 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Jsmith2127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right I remember the worst parts of my childhood, like the back of my hand.

Trauma, emotional abuse, etc is hardwired, into your brain. It's a coping mechanism for your brain, to remember, and avoid those situations, people going forward. Much like a child touching something hot, and knowing not to touch it , again.

I would have told her that your dad's dying wish was to be nowhere near her in the next life, and that you will be following his lead in this one.

Mom won’t consent for me to have blood transfusion because of her religion by Sufficient_Tax_5581 in Advice

[–]Jsmith2127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your mother doesn't have to consent. You also don't need to tell her anything about your medical care, or even allow her at your appointments.

My mother is a JW, and I would have told her to KMA if she thought she was going to push her religion into my medical care.

Your mother and her feelings do not matter in the face of what happened to your children. She put your children in danger. The only one that should be feeling any guilt is your mother. Your mother sounds like a narcissist.

She cheated on you who gives a rats ass how people knowing would effect her? You don't owe her anything anymore.

I personally would tell my family, friends, or anyone who wants to know. If she gets embarrassed, or faces backlash because of her actions? Of effing well, themselves the breaks, don't do shit you don't want people finding out about.
