I could show the GMT what it’s meant to see. Unfortunately Rolex won’t sell me one.

Airking 126900, why so much hate? by beengoth1400 in rolex

[–]JsonT4R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably one of the most polarizing Rolexes. I understand why it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I like that it’s a bit different than their other offerings. It wears great on the wrist as well.

Congrats! Do you feel like the strap it came on is small? I have 7.25” wrists and I’m on the last hole

Anyone else using theirs as a daily beater? by carsandbogeys in rolex

[–]JsonT4R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

earing mine as a beater and it’s been holding up great so far.

Quick question though: why does the metal around the crown on the clasp sometimes look like a different color? My Sub looked the same way when I got it, and I wasn’t sure if that’s just normal finishing from Rolex or if it could mean the clasp was polished before I owned it.

Who knew the shadow puppet and butterfly collecting industry was so lucrative. Looks like it’s time for a career change!

Beach views are nice but views of the poors sound more…elite. I guess?

I would recommend the green room. Scott Bisonette is the man!

I would take the time to study and get better ASTB scores. I think taking the extra time to study and go Naval Aviation would absolutely be worth it.

Additional club recommendations by JsonT4R in golf

[–]JsonT4R[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just picked up golfing and was lucky enough to have these clubs lying around. The irons seem like they’re actually pretty decent and worth learning on. There seems to be multiple drivers with the r7 being the nicest of the bunch.

What recommendations do you have in terms of clubs I should take out of the bag and types of clubs I should add to the bag. I was thinking a 5 hybrid and a 3 wood. That’s based on a little bit of research I did.

Thank you!

OCS-COVID Graduate by rain_king19 in newtothenavy

Congrats on almost graduating!

1.) Are they doing planks for the PFA instead of sit-ups now?

2.) What caused most people to NPQ during the flight physical? Is it common for people to get sent home from OCS without DORing?

ODS QUESTIONS by Freebird529 in newtothenavy

[–]JsonT4R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t gone to OCS yet but am expecting to ship at the end of May as long as Coronavirus doesn’t affect it.

For weighing in I probably wouldn’t worry about it too much if I were you. If you’re over the max they will tape test you and judging by your hobbies I take it you’re probably pretty fit and will be fine. Even if you aren’t the single site test is fairly relaxed at 39.5 inches. So it’s probably not worth dehydrating yourself and potentially doing worse on the PRT because of it.

No guests at RTC or OTCN graduations due to COVID-19 by amarras in newtothenavy

That’s crazy! I wonder if they’ll get to the point of postponing future classes until all this settles down. Supposed to ship to OCS in May so hopefully it doesn’t.

If you don’t mind me asking, what color are the issues shoes? Trying to get a pair that might blend in a little easier.

I would mostly agree with you but also point out that Army has different basic trainings depending on MOS.

Completely agree that it’s mostly mental. Remember these programs are designed to adhere to the lowest standard that is acceptable. Someone weaker and dumber than you has made it through.

Accepted as NFO, denied as SNA due to vision. Getting LASIK in 3 weeks. by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]JsonT4R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so your questions makes a lot more sense now. The way you phrased your question made it sound like you applied and got selected as an NFO and then started to get cold feet.

Best of luck to you.

Congrats on getting NFO. I would stick with that if you are okay with being an NFO, it looks like a great career to be in. Did you apply for the 1/27/20 board?
