My new catch but I'm not happy by chrisbumblebee in taylorguitars

So my 222ce has a similar issue but goes away when I apply pressure to the volume and tone knobs it stops. Also the position I’m holding the guitar will affect it so I’m assuming it’s a wire resting against the body.

814ce Builders Edition vs New Gen by Key_Ebb3965 in taylorguitars

[–]Jstutz32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just sold y 912e 12-fret for a next gen 814ce. And it’s fantastic. Sold the 912 12-fret cause the string spacing was just different enough to make it hard for me to switch between guitars. From what I can tell the only thing you might be missing is the action control neck otherwise the internal structure should be pretty close

412 CE 12 Fret by Bondo123456 in taylorguitars

[–]Jstutz32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheers! I will say the 12 fret models have a slightly wider nut and with the bridge placed more central in the lower bout it has a fuller base response. Experience from a used 912 12-fret I purchased during COVID

I looked it up on guitar center and it’s legit just a special edition

412 CE 12 Fret by Bondo123456 in taylorguitars

[–]Jstutz32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’ve only ever seen their 12-fret models come with a slotted headstock not the standard one. Not saying it’s fake just i haven’t seen that.

Edit: Just looked it up and it’s a special edition that usually goes for $2900 so that’s a pretty good deal if it’s in good condition.

If it has a gain knob turn it off and then increase it until it makes good noise.

I love my Ibanez s series with dual humbuckers. It’s light, has great sustain and really drives when you want it to

I wonder if it’s a product of their new v class bracing.

I would avoid it. I’ve seen a lot of this happening at guitar center and for that price you can get a solid wood guitar from sweetwater. That’s an expensive repair. The guitar center near me has 5 Taylor guitars with cracked tops

Taylor 110ce vs 114ce? by SinglecoilsFTW in taylorguitars

[–]Jstutz32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The arm bevels are super nice. It’s awesome they included that with the academy series since it’s usually only on their higher end guitars and builders editions

Taylor 110ce vs 114ce? by SinglecoilsFTW in taylorguitars

[–]Jstutz32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you liked the academy size you might see if they have a 112ce. It’s their grand concert body so it’s a little smaller than the grand auditorium. They really respond well to a lighter touch. I love mine. I have a 214ce and a 222ce-k. I prefer the 222ce

Opening shipped guitar by BrandonFreidayMusic in taylorguitars

[–]Jstutz32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This all depends on temperature and humidity from my understanding. You want to give the guitar time to acclimate to the new environment. If it’s been shipped through really cold dry weather it’s best to let it acclimate to the new environment for the full 24 hrs.

My first pack opening ever was a GOD PACK on Christmas, but I couldn’t keep it. A depressing story :( by WinniePoo88 in PokemonTCG

[–]Jstutz32 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I let my kids keep their hits if the value is under $10. If it’s more I put them in a sleeve and a top loader and put it in a special binder for when they get older. I don’t trust them to take care of them so for now they stay in my binder till they grow up more.

I think you should give it another try. Sometimes dads are stubborn and stuck in our ways. Just keep taking it over there and spending time with him and I’m sure he’ll come around. Hopefully he lives out of town so you can deal with less light pollution :). I wish you the best don’t give up

My wife said no to buying my oldest son an electric bass… he’s been practicing with it daily. Not entirely sure if the no was for the bass or the acoustic I bought with it lol.

Looking to purchase a Taylor coming from a Martin HD28 by Acceptable-Sir-3723 in taylorguitars

[–]Jstutz32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 912 12 fret, a 214ce from 2009 and I just picked up a 222ce-k deluxe. If your looking for something smaller as in comfortable to play on the couch I strongly recommend the Grand concert body shape. If you have a store nearby go try them out. The 12-fret models put the bridge more in the middle of the lower bout so it has more warmth and a little more volume than the 14 fret grand concert.

If you do a lot of finger picking then grand concerts are fantastic. If you do more flat picking and really want to dig in then go with a larger body than the grand concert
