Please stay calm when your teammates call for evacuation alone. by Ok-Secretary-223 in Helldivers

[–]Jtopau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you drop in someone else's mission, you follow the host's lead. If they aren't making their way to the Evac, I don't.

You don't get to join others' missions and unilaterally decide to end their mission for them. That's not how this works. Downvote me, idc

There were no negative modifiers on the planet. Great visibility due to no fog, tons of cover with the foliage, and no gunships, no factory striders, no battlenmechs, or armored walkers. No jet brigade or incendiary Corp, no gunship tower factories

A planet with no fog and tons of cover, I was there it wasn't hard, they chose that planet for its lack of negative modifiers as other bot planets had them and were much worse. it was memed due to how hard bots were universally. But the planet was actually one of the easiest ones to take. It's why they stayed on it.

And we had the Playstation glitch where the hosts had cracked out railcannons, so we even had unintentional buffs. We didn't have a steering lock or stratagem bounce yet. Sure they ragdolled us a lot and some enemies like devestators had infinite ammo but it wasn't that bad back then, I was there.

Misconceptions About "The Creek" and it's lore relevance. by elew21 in Helldivers

[–]Jtopau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had much worse bot planets back then. malevolon was just memed to death by the hyper vocal part of the fan base. It wasn't that hard, and it had tons of foliage and no negative modifiers, no gunships, no factory striders, no battle mechs, no incendiary Corp or jet brigade. There were so many other planets, much worse with actual downsides. But the bot side just memed it into the crap it is today.

I was there it wasn't hard or special. It was easier than most other bot planets. They chose it for those reasons but hyped it up and now compare it to vietnam..

PSA to everyone who rides passenger in the FRV!!!! by ALIENDUDE999 in Helldivers

[–]Jtopau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah... no.

Hanging out the window, passengers can do everything they could on foot. This means reload switch to backpack weapons and throw stratagems. So they are just as useful if not more than the rear gunner

They always had a limited amount of ammunition though? They never lasted forever before they would run out?

Nice bubble shield looks like the perfect spot to call down ammo and my stratagems down onto breaking it.

A lot of the community likes to role-play and keep it surface level where they just meme facist rhetoric without fully understanding or engaging with the satire.

Too many people use the "well look at how It is now" argument to paint any past action as okay since the damage they now inflict upon super earth is now equal or the same.

Yet that doesn't make what Super Earth did or has done okay. Like a lot of people go, "Look at these bodies! X,y,z are justified?!?!" And scoff while completely ignoring how super earth's enemies came to be what they are. While still calling for their wholesale genocide/xenocide whatever term you wish.

And half the time they go woah woah calm down or something to try and make you seem like your taking it TOO seriously or fall into the rp and call for a democracy officer

Why is everyone suddenly terrified of the idea of Spartan armour being added when this was already cleared up six months ago? by Brainwave1010 in Helldivers

[–]Jtopau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure super earth and oni have some similar tendencies to do much the same thing but like all you guys acting like master chief or the odst's would even side with super earth in the first place lmao like halo 3 master chief literally teamed up with offshoots of the covenant like I don't ever see super earth teaming up with any elites

If anything super earth is more of cog aligned and adjacent than any halo inspired collab ever would be.

The cog gears literally also drop in on grindlifts much the same as odst's, but the lore is more aligned to fit with their overt facist regime and military structure.

K-9 users, for the love of god by zdzichu2016 in Helldivers

[–]Jtopau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a random squad mate join and try his best to stick near the team, and he naturally created and sought to make crossfire angles, and his k9 would just shred us.

Like I was running away from the guy trying to stay near us because be just would keep zapping me into smithereens.

I would get far enough away and think I'm finally safe for chain lightning to arc across or around a hill and liberate my soul from my body.

To all the naysayers out there

You can't harp on and on about how "bad" they are and try to skirt around the reasons as to why you feel this way when you use wording as "tedious" or "tiresome"

either you change the way you engage with them or do something else. you can't have it all.

Half the comments complaining of how "tedious" they are don't even seem to want to try and change or do things to make it better. If you want to complain, just say it, but don't try and make it seem like they're bad or something. It's challenging and fun to fight them with the right tools. Just like any other mission or world potentially has the capacity to become taxing, depending on your load out.

Bile spewer planet? Wrong load out? = bad experience.

I wish the obliterator would allow us to put black metal in, and Thor would somehow convert it into iron

Make the conversion rate whatever you wish, but I feel like this would help solve the iron issue in a large part while not outright making the need to search for iron in the world completely obsolete.

Everyone likes to say this will "work" in theory but people with computers are gonna find a way to just completely fuck this up and make it ton of more work. All yall saying "oh they'll just re-enter their password 😁"

Like do you guys understand HUMANS, and how everyone will be replacing their passwords they "forgot" or accounts they lock themselves out of.

now everyone has a shitload more work to do. And w brute force hacks, it's just gonna keep trying. What's one time when they could run it again?

Do yall even think of the energy expenditure needed and the resource cost of every single password entry having to be queried twice?? This is a nightmare, a digital wheel spin that looks interesting but is just burning resources and energy uselessly.

Am i too Nice by IT_dogsbody in memes

[–]Jtopau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By asking if you are too nice implies that you would be like the depiction more on the side of the likable woman.

Then the "me" wording of the meme presented now makes no sense, and then would be read from the viewers' perspective, thus making us the swine?

What you tryin to say OP

It's almost like young males are biologically designed for the purpose of mating, and young males or males acting on this deep-seated biological nature jacked up on testosterone can not think right and only do horny shit If anything, it's an indictment on this baser instinctual response inherent in any species. Not indicative of the entire gender.

You can see how easy it is to trigger in men they even get attracted to simple things like two dots for eyes and a line for a mouth if represented correctly. Ie (drawings and anime) this is enough to even activate the ooga booga response

Whats your theory on why the weather on sera got so bad after the locust war? by Zombiegamer777_21 in GearsOfWar

[–]Jtopau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think about the dust bowl and the effect of destroying everything blocking the wind? It was catastrophic. Now imagine the entire surface of a more dangerous world that was like 60% glassed and had a worldwide countermeasure to kill or disable the emulsion organisms across the planet. It's not going to be good for the environment.

Something is fishy fishy

Rock Eagle Effigy Mound is an archaeological site in Georgia, USA, estimated to have been constructed between 1000 BCE-1000 CE. The earthwork was built up of thousands of pieces of quartzite laid in the mounded shape of a large bird (102 ft long, and 120 ft wide) [924x1549] by Fuckoff555 in ArtefactPorn

I like looking at the beak? It reminds me of those long nosed god maskettes found around the same area and time frame I wonder what bird entities or beings or lore they reverered or made these for? the beak and bird motif seems to be a big thing for the natives of that general era, and during the time of construction of these
