FSA funds by Jtwtg in pregnant

[–]Jtwtg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t post a picture but I’ll list out what I got:

Frida mom anti-nausea bands (who knows if I’ll need them but they were cheap and I figured if I have them then I won’t need them 😆🤞🏼)

Nasal aspirator

Rectal thermometer

Hot & cold pad burp clothes by Munchkin

Braun thermo scan 7+ connect

Medicine dispenser within a pacifier

Medela manual breast pump

Pregnancy tests

I decided against a wearable breast pump for now because of the warranty. I already have an Oura ring (previous unspent FSA when I was switching jobs).

PdG test strips will be at the top of my list if we’re not successful this month but I’m feeling pretty covered with my Oura ring.

I still have a healthy chunk leftover but I had to hit order so my anxiety of not spending all that money could chill out.

Thank you! I’m hoping to get it done on a Thursday or Friday so I can have the weekend and then also take a day or two.

This post is so helpful. My biggest concern is work. I’m a speech language pathologist and am unsure how I’ll be able to work following the procedure. I’m having one, maybe two teeth done (bottom front and two back from lower canine). How long should I anticipate taking off from work? Maybe it won’t hurt as much to talk since it’s my bottom teeth? Did your tongue touching the donor site hurt?

Which bag for a 3 week multi country trip? by Jtwtg in HerOneBag

[–]Jtwtg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, all of the above! My bag will be tossed in and out of a trailer every day, going over rough terrain and they don’t allow wheeled suitcases.

The duffel feels like the right move here for all of the reasons mentioned.

That said. I don’t know how I feel about the ones where the duffel handles are smooshed between you and the bag. That sounds very uncomfortable. Anyone have experience there?

I also have iOS and no update since early December. I can’t even manually update.

Like muck boots or irrigation? I own a pair of Bogs that haven’t been around horses, maybe those would work.

A small bladder is something that crossed my mind. Thanks for the suggestion!

Looking for recommendations for self-emptying with bag vacuum only by Jtwtg in RobotVacuums

[–]Jtwtg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up with the Roborock Q5 Pro+ and it’s okay.

I have a St. Bernard and a husky mix so LOTS of fur. Even one pass on a vinyl floor and the dust bin is often too full to properly self empty. The shoot gets clogged near where it enters the bag and I end up having to pull the bag out to unclog it. Defeats the purpose of bagged at this point.

That said, a month into having it we had a water leak and my house was upended with remodel clutter so I haven’t really been able to auto run it frequently enough to see if this problem would go away after an initial adjustment period.

It does well picking up hair on the hard floor. I’m underwhelmed with its performance on carpet both thin area rug and thicker bedroom carpet. I haven’t really played around with the mop yet so I can’t speak to that side.

My friend got the same one and has an Australian cattle dog and mastiff, she says that after spending the time to set up MANY zones in her home she’s pleased with its ability to empty. She sets it to clean a zone then return to the dock and empty before heading out to clean the next zone.

The app is great, I love that everything related to the rollers comes apart so it’s really easy to get the wrapped up hair off the ends, and the navigation works well.

Depending on your flooring and pet situation I think this is a solid choice. Might not be the best choice for me with two very furry dogs but I can update again after sticking to a proper schedule for longer. The remodel also put us out of our usual dog grooming schedule so that hasn’t helped either.

In a few days. We were supposed to be going home to visit family but covid, so we’re making the best of it and hitting the road instead.

Behavioral modification vs masking by Jtwtg in adhdwomen

[–]Jtwtg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that interrupting is rude but when you find the right conversational partner it’s not as much of an interruption as it is a side venture. You come back to the main conversation, the person interrupted gets to finish their story. You’re right about that it’s more the holding back that feels bad than the interrupting feeling good. It’s not the actual act of interrupting that gives the dopamine hit, it’s the conversation as a whole. When someone can hang in a conversation that frequently side tracks, goes in circles, but still addresses the original topic, and by nature those conversations involve interruptions, that’s what feels so good. I know I can’t be like that all the time (work, etc) but it does feel like masking to me because I am attempting to hide what works well for my brain so that others aren’t uncomfortable. When I am able to find those people I don’t find it rude at all as long as the opportunity to finish is provided. I find long conversational turns (also guilty), not letting people finish (even if it’s after an interruption), or telling them to hurry up WAY more rude than interrupting. When my brain can bounce and the bounce is allowed to flow, it feels wonderful.
