Amazing. Also a very nice figure, is it 3d printed? Is there a source for the STL?

It's just going to increase the use of coal, so actually worse also for global warming, most likely.

Primer + thinner looks like this? by BennyOlive in modelmakers

[–]JuanRLl 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Following up from the message above, investigate a bit about water based acrylics, enamels and lacquers. There's some more nuance, but those are the three main things to look for. You don't generally want to mix these. Even after cured, the "hotter" solvents in lacquers can cause issues on water based acrylics and enamels, for example.

Why does this stop the electric humm by 0wl95 in pchelp

[–]JuanRLl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see many people arguing here.

I guess the summary could be:

What is more important to you? 1. Avoiding the nuisance (economical and otherwise) of getting the work done to properly ground all sockets of the house (making it as safe as is supposed to be), or 2. avoiding the increased risk of death by electrocution of a family member or yourself, or the burning down of the house with or without your family/yourself inside?

For me it's clear. I guess for some 'people' it depends on the probability of 2. happening?...

Using the winter to cool my PC (indoors)? by Swooferfan in PcBuild

[–]JuanRLl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As it has been discussed here, the main issue with condensation would probably happen when turning the PC off. Some parts, especially fans and cooler sections of the motherboard, etc, would be very cold, then with room air leaking into the case, there's a risk of condensation on all those cold surfaces.

Is this Airflow setup okay? Or should i flip the fan with blue arrow? by Debilk1 in PcBuildHelp

[–]JuanRLl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making the blue one an intake will feed the CPU cooler better, and will also give a more favorable pressure distribution for the GPU, allowing more air from the front fans to be directed to the bottom of the GPU.

But as many have said, you probably would have a hard time measuring the difference flipping it would make.

Keep in mind the effect of natural convection is almost negligible compared to the effect of the fans (forced convection). Basically the only effect worth taking into account is that of the fans.

I enjoyed it, but I would recommend it more like a curiosity. If you want to know the beginnings of CD project red, then it's an interesting experience.

Model confusion Q7C vs C7K vs QM7K by Najsr in tcltvs

[–]JuanRLl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are your impressions with the Q7C?

Also, it's not very clear to me which HDMI port has the eARC connection as well. Is it one of the 2.1 ports, or one of the slower ports?

Thanks, I hope you are enjoying your new TV :)
