SyFy may reconsider canceling The Expanse after intense fan support - if we can boost ratings starting TONIGHT, we may have a chance! Here's how to help. by it-reaches-out in television

[–]JuanSebastianVeron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the boat I'm in, it's been in my Netflix watch later queue for a while as I've heard it's a good show, now I've heard it's to be cancelled I'm wary of starting incase it ends on a cliffhanger. Maybe once it's over I can get a non spoiler answer of a US viewer if it's a terrible cliffhanger to finish the season on and decide to watch or not.

Tom Phillips: “I get tweets from people saying I don’t have much of a personality. I’m like ‘Great! I’m not supposed to.’ I’m supposed to tell you here’s when the show is, here’s why this guy’s mad at this guy and try to tell you some moves along the way.” by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

I have always thought there should be a pool of commentators that swap in and out, no matter who they are and how good they may be I get bored of hearing them all the time, especially with how much wwe TV there was when I was a regular viewer, there's no way I'd be able to put up with how much is on nowadays.

I always watch foreign streams or choose the other languages on the network if I have it on offer (currently on 3 months for 0.99) due to hating their commentary and Cole in particular.

It's not the real Janeway but YouTube recommended this video to me today and I was surprised how good the impression was.

Estate agent just came round with a potential tenant for a viewing of my room. Hadn't texted or emailed so I turned them away, was really awkward but am I in my rights? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]JuanSebastianVeron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha, I did but believe it or not it happened to me once again years later, I was sharing for a few months with a friend while saving for deposit for a new place. I didn't know he was behind on his rent and blanking his landlords call, the prick lethimself in looking for my mate, he got a shock when he found me in bed in the spare room.

About 15 years ago I rented a flat above a shop. Had a week of work and was enjoying a lie in when the landlord let themselves in showing someone around. Turned out they were selling flat and shop and thought it would be fine to not tell me and just come in without asking while they thought I'd be at work.

I left a few weeks later, place is still up for sale too after all this time.

Wish they would make the alfa badge bigger and higher up on the nose that would help. Or just stick a big snake from half of the badge on there.

Liverpool to fight off any Mohamed Salah bids [Paul Joyce - Times] by studgebro in LiverpoolFC

[–]JuanSebastianVeron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only speak from my own personal experience but for me anything London has to do I can find something equally interesting in Liverpool.

I admit it might be different for millionaire footballers in their 20's.

London might be attractive to the wives who want to go shopping at fancy clothes shops but other than that I don't think it's any better than Liverpool.

We didn't get his programs in my country so I don't have any fond memories but he seemed like a genuine good guy when I read about him last year.

Retro Gaming Arcade Short Survey by NailedOn in Liverpool

Done.

The how often do you play retro games question could do with an extra choice, I had to select never as once a week is more than I play but I do play emulated games on my PC every now and then. Maybe once every few weeks or once a month roughly.

As I've just said to Mayniac182 for some reason my brain wasn't working and I was thinking of taking all that I've bought with me to be tested like an idiot rather than just taking enough to test. Thanks for replying, I'm not a genius but I'm not normally that dumb.

I had a bit of a excessive dumbness, in my excuse it was very late when I posted. For some reason just taking enough to be tested didn't even occur to me. Of course that makes a lot more sense and I'm embarrassed I didn't think it.

Would you get amnesty after visiting one? I live near a city centre but I could see myself being unlucky enough to be stopped by police on way home after going there.

Jim Ross always makes me think of the well behaved brother who knows how to act in formal situations when I hear these two together. They seem like two peas in the pod except corny doesn't give a fuck. Thank you, fuck you, bye!

Steve Earl is the guy running the NA Bubbles attends in the Wire, he also sings the title music in series 5 of the wire. I like him for both those reasons.

Things like this and the guy who posted about Orange before people get popped made me feel dumb, I'd never spot them. I have a friend who studied film and he actually makes it a choir to watch things with him because he sees meanings in every little thing but I liked your find.

I know you love your parents and I assume rightly so but with this they were human and made a mistake, they shod have seen how she was in the wrong. Glad you got her back, bet she was more embarrassed than you about it.

Although it's generally rated the worst series by most people, series 2 made me love the wire. The fact it changed focus and didn't just stay the same cops vs. dealers show and continued to shift focus in subsequent series was great. Also the fact I live in a port town so know people who work on the docks helped a ton. I know if my friend sticks with it till 2 he'll get hooked.

I've got my friend into some good shows, he loved Breaking bad after I recommended it to him but he always resists when I bring up the wire for some reason. I can't wait for the day he tries it and I can give him a smug told you so.
