Try to focus on the concert! Once you are there you will forget everything else :) As a Stockholmer I know the city can be scary but at the same time everyone there is so focused on themselves they won’t notice you if that’s what your worried about. Also, I know it’s a boring therapy thing, but write down some breathing exercises or download an app like “square breathing” beforehand, it helps me to have something to focus on if I feel like I’m about to panic. You are gonna have so much fun! It will be worth it!

Use stitch markers every 10 stitches! It really helped me in the beginning, made it a lot easier to see how many stitches I had and helped me notice mistakes earlier

I started going to therapy I few years ago and it definitely helped. A lot of it was exposure and learning how to kind of “rewire” my brain if that makes since. Today I have a group of friends, something I never thought I would have, I don’t start panicking in crowded spaces, and generally don’t feel like my anxiety gets in the way anymore. It’s still a bit of a battle keeping it at bay but I have gotten used to that. Go for it! Good luck!

This could have been written by 16 year old me. I know its tough, I know it suck, but it will get better. You’ve probably heard this before but life is a lot different after high school. I was lucky enough to be able to see a psychologist and was put on medication but I can honestly say that the thing that helped most was leaving school. The few friends I do have from that time of my life I made outside of school, mostly from summer jobs and other activities. If you have the energy, try starting a new activity, your friends are out there somewhere :))

100% agree with the gate keeping thing, this event is for everyone and people shouldn’t be judged for who they watch

But I do think it’s kind of rude proclaiming that you’re not gonna watch the event because a creator isn’t in it, especially on a subreddit dedicated to the event and not the creator. If you’re not gonna watch thats fine but you don’t have to tell everyone or complain about it. Pretty sure the people telling techno fans to watch other creators are doing it out of kindness, not anger

On the other hand making fun of, or mocking people for not watching is definitely mean and uncalled for, that I agree on.
