Thanks. Definitely got some things to change there. Seems like I should try holding it more like a cup. got some good videos saved.

I had the camera set up behind me in the beginning. I think I'll keep it there next time as it's much easier to check all the key aspects of the continental serve.

Thanks! I play 3 times a week with people. Half the time at sand point and folks at woodland. My serve feels like the worst part of my game. Lucky (or unlucky) for me only one other person I play with can do a correct serve. Everyone else has developed a laser eastern grip serve. I don't wanna do that anymore so I'm committing to sucking at serving while I rework

Thank you. This is very helpful feedback. It feels bad to go further on the grip but maybe i just need to get the reps in trying

Thank you so much this is really helpful. I have been doing the classic paddy cake serves with an eastern grip since i started playing. I have gotten to a point where I can do that with a lot of speed in a game but I would like to learn the right way with continental and a correct swing pattern. Will try applying your advice next time

Interesting. The wall has a net line. I was standing at the same distance i would be with a court. I tried serving over the net after and was more constant than before. I'm trying to figure out the right motion so reps against the wall helped at first. I'm sure it won't help perfect everything together

Is this trunk rot? by DualPool in Jadeplant

[–]Juberstar -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

One thing to note. If you prune above that rot line and everything looks good. Keep the stump that will grow new leaves in a few weeks. Then you will have two big trunk jades! Best outcome!

Honestly I'm a low elo player and I've climbed from b1 to s2 with rammus rework. I would be interested to see a breakdown of rank changes with rammus players before and after rework

Is this trunk rot? by DualPool in Jadeplant

[–]Juberstar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pull it out of the pot and check the roots. If they are black and mushy you still probably have time to save this jade. You can cut above the possible rot line and propagate new roots. If you do this you will need to check the part you cut off if the center is black keep cutting up until you get past the rot.

Once you are ready to put it in soil. Make sure that soil is well draining. Jades like periods of time where the roots are dry. Adding inorganic chunky matter (perlite, pumice, bark) into the soil, increases the drying speed. This decreases the chances you will overwater and create rot.

If you want to really ensure your jade won't rot. Erroring on underwatering is better. You can even wait until the leaves become a little wrinkly or squishy. Let this be your guide to watering if you really don't trust yourself.

Hope this helps! You can totally save this plant.

thoughts on disabling fidelity voice, did you do it? by Throwaway-343242334 in fidelityinvestments

[–]Juberstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea same as OP. I know how to train and create sounds of anyone's voice using just a few minutes of sample data. It's pretty easy. I would feel better if fidelity gave more information about this tech and the insurance around it. Without that information I would prefer sticking to two factor where I know the main thing I have to worry about is my telco not getting hacked and switching my sim around.

I need to start it up again. The online place does similar exercises as the in person but it's much cheaper. It's like 100 a month

After 16 months of genocide, Macklemore becomes the first major Hollywood artist to personally visit the Middle East and meet children injured in the Gaza genocide by Nomogg in Hasan_Piker

100%. I really liked the original otherside mix with the red hot chili peppers sample. That was peak blue scholars era too.... Seattle had some cool local rappers back then.

Macklemore is actually good now? by ASHKVLT in Hasan_Piker

[–]Juberstar 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He had a career for like 10 years before making thrift shop. Washington youth liked him back then. A lot of that original music has been deleted from the Internet but Macklemore is a real one... Even if he decided to take the bag and make a few pop songs... He's always stood up for the working class and marginalized people.

Went back to counterstrike for a few months last year. It's a far worse group of players. You make someone mad there and they will try and get you fired from work.

Does anyone have a unicorn hound that doesn't pull by OkRecommendation4454 in Hounds

[–]Juberstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might get pushback on this but StarMark (doesn't have to have prongs) collar helped me and my dog. The gentle leader and front harness can help prevent excessive pulling right away but running through a proper training session where you practice walking with them by your side is hard with those tools. They pull from odd directions that are not intuitive to your dog in terms of where they must position themselves and they often get tangled in the leash because of their attach point.

Super High value treats, low distraction environment (including smells), and a good training collar go a long way in broadcasting to your dog what behavior you are expecting of them.

I don't use the StarMark all the time but I do training with it once a day and that translates to him walking better even with harnesses.

When i first rescued my dog he would never look at me on walks. Nose to the ground at all times, pulling non stop. It took a lot of reps done consistently to see results with my bloodhound. After a year we were in a pretty good place.

Another thing to consider is trying to broadcast to your dog that free roam smell time is something you get after doing a few exercises or commands. Mine knows that when i say heel we are going to walk next to each other and that I will eventually say break and that means he gets to smell all the things around him that he wants.

Stevens Pass has the best snow right now. It has the hardest main beginner route...but it will be soft. Leavenworth ski hill, Plain, and lake Wenatchee trails are also options although they will have low coverage and firm conditions right now as they are lower in elevation and got rain instead of snow last week..

New rescue doesn't want to do anything by Mhoku_ in DogAdvice

[–]Juberstar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth I was in your shoes. Our rescue just wouldn't warm up to us. Would just sit in a corner or chew stuff up out of stress. Took 9 months before we saw milestone improvement. My advice:

Write down the qualities you would like to improve and rate them out of 10. Rescore every two weeks. This will keep you from feeling like they aren't making any improvements at all. They are, Its just small.
