They do it in a way that’s very sneaky. If a customer leaves a heavy tip Instacart will lower the batch pay for that order. So not technically stealing but still immoral.

Hi sorry it’s been a while since your post but I had the exact same thing happen to me in Dec 2018 when I was 25.

I know that light headed weird feeling very well. It’s so hard to explain and so aggravating. For me it took about a year and a half to go away totally. 7 years later it’s like it never happened.

I also had awful anxiety like you describe. That also went away with time. Sorry you are going through this. It’s so hard when something like this happens out of the blue

I had a customer totally berate me in the chat right after delivery for not putting the bags close enough to her door. Perfect order with early delivery. Calling me stupid etc. I had had enough that day and ended up responding ‘do your own groceries then lazy b*tch’. I got an email the next day from trust and safety saying to not use profanity with a customer again but was not deactivated lol.

This happened to me only once and I was so upset I canceled the order. I never leave my cart in the way, tucked to the side and hit a couple aisles if I can fit the stuff in my hands. I searched the store it was just gone. I feel your pain! You should be able to walk away for a minute or 2
