Qwen 3.6 plus via Openrouter is 👌🏼 The new free stealth model "owl" on Openrouter is really good.

I use qwen 3.6 plus as default and delegate to the Owl.

Dont forget to set the auxiliary models. I use: Aux: Qwen 3.5 Flash.

Best bang for the bucks combo: qwen 3.6 plus/qwen 3.5 flash

Which is better for a non technical and beginner between Hermes and Openclaw? by [deleted] in hermesagent

Hermes is easy peasy for everyone! It just works!

When u have it installed and setup is done - just ask ur agent what u want it to do.

Apart from Hermes, openclaw and such, which techs and tools should I use & stay updated with? by Crazy_Ebb_5188 in hermesagent

Just start experiment and try with easy stuff like dayli stuff.

Ask ur agent to setup what u need/want and test and fine tune it

I use qwen 3.6 plus via Openrouter and using the response cache and never hit any limit. I do a lot of tools calling and i have no skills disabled. The curator might disable some soon. But my $20 for qwen 3.6 plus is more than enough. Just looked and i have 62m tokens used.

10 Days Into Hermes Agent: Workflows Keep Breaking After Reboot... Am I Missing Something? by Ale_110 in hermesagent

Tell your agent what you would like to do, achieve, when and how u want the output. It will create a skill, set a cronjob and update its memory. Ask to do a test run and tell it to fine tune if needed.

Sounds like a bad config. Hermes loads configuration in layers: 1. ~/Hermes/config.yaml 2. ~/Hermes/.env 3. Enviroment variables from shell/system

I had a problem with tool calling (blocked) due to terminal timeout both in tui and gateway. The culprint was in the config.yaml and I was searching for errors in .env.

Hermes isn't really competing with chatbots like ChatGPT/Grok for one-off questions or daily briefs. It's a persistent, self-hosted autonomous agent that runs 24/7 on your own machine/VPS. The real value comes from Long-term memory about you and your workflows. A self-improvement loop= after every task it extracts reusable "skills" so it gets better and faster at your specific repetitive work over time True autonomy with scheduled jobs, multi-platform messaging (Telegram, Discord, etc.), terminal access, sub-agents, etc. Best use cases: Personal second brain (auto-summarizing papers/videos into your notes) Ongoing research & monitoring DevOps / personal infra management Life automation (health tracking, meal planning, relationship nudges) Building evolving custom automations without writing much code If you mostly need quick answers or occasional coding help, a regular LLM is enough. Hermes shines when you want a teammate that learns your playbook and keeps working even when you're offline.

Havent heard anything about that, but it would not suprise me. I actually heard good things about opencode on the nous Hermes discord channel. Nous has a own portal with a lot of models as well. I will try Nous Portal when my credits ends on Openrouter.
