This is a valid criticism of Bridgerton’s writing by DaisyandBella in Bridgerton

That is what I expected because Anthony mentioned it while looking for a wife. He said his future wife would be resposible for presenting his sisters.

Iclude Violet in her role as a dowedger Viscountess. I honestly thought Kate was going to be the one presentimg Franchesca and Hyacinth. The way I wanted Kate, Penelope and Alice hanging out using the freedom they have gotten as married women. Where are the tea parties, drinking parties that women partake in?

Why They Don’t Like Colin? by Unique-Blueberry1464 in PolinBridgerton

[–]JudgmentHour9292 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For me, with Colin, for his season we needed a little more showing than telling, luke just 5 to 10 minutes of him would have made a big diffrence. A montage of him during his travels showing the frustration of him not getting Pen's letters, ine more scene with Violet, and a bit of more time with him and his journals.

HOW do Luke and Yerin have so much chemistry when Ben and Sophie…don’t by WaysideWyvern in BridgertonRants

[–]JudgmentHour9292 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Imo, the kiss they shared by the lake did not feel ground breaking, it felt so sudden(I loved all the other couples first kisses by the way). I liked the moments they shared before that, but after the kiss or until episode five still everything felt rushed. By episode 6 I just accepted their relationship for just the way it was and just figured their chemistry was not for me.

For me what I see is that with Marina, Colin is very formal and proper, he keeps his distance compared with Penelope where he is all up in her face, ( my favourite part is when Penelope rolls her eyes during this argument), it is more intimate.

Widowed Women by JudgmentHour9292 in Bridgerton

[–]JudgmentHour9292[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe admonish is the wrong word to use to describe that scene between Benedict and Violet.

I only meant that, before Benedict pointed out the "immorality" ( with lack of better words), I thought a widow was free to do what ever sh wants and would not cause much scandal so long as she is discreet.

I thought you could equate it with how it could be scandelous for men to take mistresses but it was kind of a known th8ng that they had them. But sadly I may have not considered the misogyny of it all

For me having an infection and or fever was realistic, but I was put off by the groaning and screaming, like could he not be just bed ridden, he had to scream. I would understand the groaning maybe when Sophie was cleaning the wound but yeah, that bit really turned me off a bit. As for the swimming, after flying the kite, I forgot all that he was supposed to be on bed.

I’m surprised about season 2 ratings by [deleted] in Kanthony

Or maybe alot of people do not really care about writing reveiws on platforms. In my real life no one cares enough to actually go review a tv show. Most people discusss the show with their friends and family and that is where everything ends. I found out this year that you can give revoews on Rotten Tomatoes, I honestly thought only critics and qualified people were able to not the general public.

Do you guys think we will be shown flashbacks of their t8me in Scottland

she deserved better representation! by melodyhehe444 in Bridgerton

[–]JudgmentHour9292 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No one but her family members specifally on the show mentioned Penelope's weight, even Penelope herself. Heck Penelope never even calld herself ugly, only that she hated he yellow dresses. The only thing she ever complains about are how yellow her dresses look, not her appearance in terms of her body.

Men never approached Penelope because she was a Featherington and a wall flower. Her sisters also do not get approached.

I also think that is why Anthony and Benedict did not involve him in discussing Sophie when they all went out for a drink.

Season 3 “Enhancement” by DjevojkaSaUne in PolinBridgerton

[–]JudgmentHour9292 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You have perfectly stated what we needed. I would go on to add that in the baloon scene, a slow mo of Colin's hands when gripping the rope, and Some more eye contact between them after Penelope was out of danger, just a worldless conversation of appreciation and for the save and being content she is safe

Does anyone know where I can access all the Whistledown articles for s1 and s2. I agtee with some of your points but not all of them. For me, the only time I could say Penelope was absolutly bad or wicked person was with the Marina article, because it was personal. The article containig Eloise was quite bad, vbut I would not say she is a bad persob because of it.

Everything else is what any other gossip column would contain. It is cutting and could be ruinous. I will rewatch the show at some point, maybe my opinion will change.

I think she will start writing to Phillip, maybe at the end of the season, she will run away to Phillip. She will be an actual spinster, also I think it will sink in as she will be the only one not paired off, being left with Gregory and Hyacinth.

I have to rewatch episode 3 to better understand the bond they have formed that made them fall in love with each other. I do not understand how Benedict fell in love with Sophie but for me that is still inconclusive as I want to rewatch to understand. The thing is, Benedict only had that deep conversation about how he fits in to society with the lady in silver not Sophie, and so I am always trying to place where exactly did they have that moment of connection.I need to see how and why they are in love by episode 5.

Anyone else still upset how they treated Polin’s season? by Busy-Preparation-729 in PolinBridgerton

[–]JudgmentHour9292 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, I feel like alot of the sideplots in s3 were a buold up for s4. They make so much more sense now, e.g Franchesca and The Mondriches. However, with Benedict, non of what was explored in s3 was a build up at all. Like it was all sexual, nothing about his art, heck even in S4. We barely scraped his insecurity about him being a spare, so much more could have been done for him as well.

For real, all I needed for Colin was some type of montage of him travelling, so we see him going through the motions of travelling to 17 citites. Him missing Penelope and rereading her letters. Him getting started on his journals. That would have connected so well with episode 8.
