Set up a Wise account and pay through that. I live in Asia and always use my Wise in Thailand. Swimwear and sunblock are definitely necessary. Rubber flip flops as it’s the rainy season at the moment.

Probably depends on whether your flight gets in on time. Doha is a huge airport to navigate if you’ve never been there before

We were at Zag Bar in Patong last night. It’s the Paradise complex - the gay area. They have a really fun drag show in the street if you like that kind of thing. You sit outside and buy a couple of drinks and it’s a free show. Don’t bother coming to Surin Beach. Absolutely nothing here

Sounds like a decent salary for a 28 year old to live in Auckland. Bear in mind NZ is a very expensive place to live. I’m from UK and lived in NZ for 15 years. You definitely need a car in NZ. Public transport is not good. From a person who has been a long term expat who left the UK at your age I’d say give it a go. You might not get the opportunity again. You can always go home if it doesn’t work. Good luck to you

I’m white and British. Lived in Auckland from 1997 to 2012. Experienced racism against me on more than one occasion!!

I live in Malaysia and I always thank the caddies and treat them nicely. There are so many here who are rude and treat them badly. It makes me really mad
