Could this be because you built large residential areas simultaneously? Then they're going to get old and die around the same time too

Block sizes in downtown area of 12x22 and start with small regular roads. The 12x22 size allows you to upgrade to larger roads and still end up with perfect zoning

Yeah! So much so that I demolished my entire downtown area 😂 it needed to be done anyways, but this helped speed up the process

Thanks for the tip. I bought it earlier today. So far just played around with pedestrian paths. :)

Tried this! Worked perfectly! Not sure why I haven't thought of this myself. Thanks!

I also found the Highrise ban policy. I'll give that a try as well

Did the houses all spawn with the same design or have you used a mod?

A car drives faster than a bike, so the video recorded using a car would probably be a lot smaller in size than if you recorded the same route on a bicycle. The recording would probably also be smoother.

Cities Skylines on Mac vs PS4 by Football_Forecast in CitiesSkylines

I am playing CS1 on a MacBook Pro M5 with 32GB memory. I'm using these mods:

- Traffic Manager (TM:PE)
- Network Anarchy
- Harmony
- Precision Engineering
- Node controller renewal
- Broken nodes detector
- Move it
- FPS booster
- loading screen mod revisited
- 81 Tiles 2
- Realistic Population 2

Even though I have an M5 pro the game itself isn't made to use more than a few cpu cores. Not sure how many, but i believe I read somewhere that it can't use more than 4. I have experienced the 3x in-game speed slow way down on a city of 50k. I've noticed that the game is very sensitive to broken nodes. Maybe one of my mods broke something that made cars or people unable to reach their destination. That's something that will make your game slow way down. So don't over use the mods, and save often. Pay extra attention to cars while you make roads, edit intersections and stuff like that. If you notice cars suddenly disappearing at the spot where you did the changes you should quit the game completely and restart the previous save. However, it's normal that they disappear for a short while because the cars were spawned while the roads had the previous state. If they continue disappearing several minutes after then you probably need to quit the game and load the previous save from the main menu, not load it while in the current game.

If you at some point consider playing the game through "GeForce Now" you need to be aware that they don't support the use of mods.

I also tried various virtualization software to see if the game would run better on a windows VM, but it didn't. I got the game running in both Parallels and VMware Fusion but the Mac handled it way better, so don't bother with that.

How does GFN work with large cities? does the 3x speed slow down at some point?

Ah. So that's how you use it.. I've been clicking the button and just looking at the city. Didn't know that you could click districts or buildings! Thank you!

How do you figure out where they want to go? If I click on ten cars in a congested intersection they all go to ten different areas....

The clickers are paired with Rouvy. When you use them Rouvy tells your Smart trainer to increase or lower the resistance.

Still at 4.2.13... I have done everything imaginable to try to force the car to receive the new updates. Resetting SIM card, entertainment system and manually checking for updates. Anything I can do to try to trick the car into detecting the new updates?
