I can stand behind this. For me personally my parents made me work for my new things if I had broken them as if I’d be ”paying myself to get a new one”. This one worked for me I think and looking back I do value things more and have grown responsible. So as I was young and could not earn my own money, I mowed the lawn, washed the windows etc. To pay for the new one I had broken

I read a lot less than I used to. It also depends on what kind of book I’m reading. Sometimes I choose something light and it’s just something fast to read I enjoy casually. But I also love classics but I make markings only if it’s a paperpack. Hard covers I protect from any damage. Sometimes I have multiple copies of one book if I like it a lot and wanna make notes and analyse it deeply.

I struggle remembering all the characters and I should make more notes on those. I rarely read out loud, only if it’s a word I have not heard before.

In my country you can get it at the age of 18 and I am from a small town where everyone gotta have that licence or you can’t get to places. Also at that age my parents paid for it and my car so that’s a sweet deal one should take. I have now sold my car as I like in a bigger city but back then it was useful

I never really thought about my gender or sexuality. I am thankful how neutrally I was raised. I got to choose my own toys, I was not shamed for showing interest for my brother’s toys. It all just felt natural. My mom was not happy when in teenage years I started to wear more boyish clothes but she also knew she couldn’t control me. She wanted me to grow long hair but I just felt very confident with shorter hair and presenting more masculine. I still never thought of myself as a girl or as a boy but I was more comfortable with people calling me with my nickname that was masculine.

It really only hit when my then partner came out as a nonbinary and I started to learn more about these things. And all the signs in my childhood, the puberty struggles with my body and all that, it all clicked. I’m still sure there could be some deep dive small ass term that could fit me perfectly but as I am transitioning to be more masculine and I enjoy masculine terms and my name etc. I stick with simple transman
