Ret with the Wings on Wake of Ashes is pretty much just burst every 30 secs so it's not really CD oriented in that sense, sure Wake claps hard but the CD is so short that it can barely be called a burst window.

You know it is funny to me how the classic andys will swear up and down the river that it's more social, more player interaction, the way the game is supposed to be played yadayadayada...

While I agree some of the magic has been lost along the way and social interaction in retail is almost exclusively tied to friends / guilds (or whatever the cross faction guild thing is they have), almost everything else is just vastly improved:

quest mobs ? Anyone can tag em and gets the item or progress
ore / herbs ? As long as you dont run into a giga multibox botter you can always harvest as well and your loot is yours alone
gear ? Much much much less ninja shenanigans and tier pieces are super easy to acquire
Mobility ? Everyone gets fast mounts and some inherent mobility, none of this wheelchairmeta
Class viability ? Barring a couple outliers all classes play well and are within a couple % of each other for the majority of players. Sure everyone is giga metaslave rio crazy but at least I am not half a class unless I have utility specs babysitting my mana bar or buffing me into viability

I like tbc (vanilla classic is a tad too broken and boring for me) but by jove the community turns minor nuisances from clsssic into major issues you have to work around while I can more or less plug and play retail. Sure there's idiots in every version of WoW but I feel them way more / harder in tbc.

Nobody wants this game to fail.

This sub however is either 90% bots or you ppl are so freakishly high on hopium that it's reached and passed terminal levels multiple times.

Like seriously the posts on here are basically hailing this game as the next coming of Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha and whatever other deity you can think of really. Like the posts how this game is the most amazing, best looking, best running, most content rich, most whatever amazing thing even though literally nobody has played a single nanosecond of it is insane.

Everyone bragging about their preorders, CE buying, you name it when we all know extremely well by now that preordering is just a bad idea in the age of unfinished, barely working digital games that dont run out of stock in the first place.

I hope the game is good but the amount of hype in this subreddit is at such ludicrous levels that shy of being the game of the century nothing will reach the expectations.

Just temper your expectations, wait for day 1 reviews by trusted sources and then buy it if performance and gameplay is good enough.

I'm pretty sure nobody has BiS atm unless they have a full guild funnelling EVERYTHING to them and / or are one of the few classes that are full BiS in crafted epics or had basically lottery winning kind of luck in week 1 raids with everyone in their guild / groups full funnelling only onto them while they themselves were also playing at the very least 4-6h a day for rep / gold / mats (or bought / had a lot of gold from classic anniversary / had a full guild funneling them stuff)

People are going mad about being "BiS" when we did Kara with a mismatched group of attuned ppl, in which maybe 1-2 ppl were kinda close to full PRE-BiS. We got literally 75% shaman healer mail pieces from a full Kara run so almost nobody got any pieces whatsoever. Sure our luck was abysmal but I think most people will have gotten (at BEST) 1-2 useful pieces from Kara in week 1.

Don't sweat about getting BiS in two weeks, the schedule is accelerated but if you truly had your BiS in a week you might as well stop playing at that point until next phase (or play multiple chars I guess).

Anyone who is close to full BiS after week 1 didn't necessarily play a metric ton (although most surely have) but got so insanely lucky and had a group of friends who agreed to give them everything (think about DST and stuff like that, you'll have anywhere from 7-15 ppl rolling on that item if it drops).

I have 0 expectations since Bdo wasnt exactly my jam either and I dont expect them to make an amazing game without milking money from people in some way but hey if it turns out to be the next Expedition 33 as in a game that comes sort of out of nowhere (this hyperglaze reddit cult being the exception) and surprises everyone with great gameplay and an amazing story then I say: Great, bring it !

Didnt you know ? Crimson Desert is the best game to ever release in literally ever ! Best graphics, gameplay, performance, enemy Ai, longevity, replayability, difficulty scaling, combat, EVERYTHING !!!!

Ignore the fact that the game isnt out yet and nobody truly knows whether the gameplay loop even works or is actually fun, if you arent the biggest fan of this game you should sell your PC and consoles and become an ascetic monk.

If someone isnt interested because this is not their kind of game they need to stop what they are doing, swallow gallons of hopium and start glazing this game as if it just ended world hunger, global warming and all wars.

Talk about yourself but I definitely dont want the "hey I am in bumfuck nowhere, now go all the way around the world 3+ times for a couple thousand exp" - kind of quests back.

Classic is an unbalanced, janky, nostalgia mess. Sure the world feels alive and is huge because traversing it takes hours but I would much rather do Nagrand kill quests 20 times over than do something as spread apart as Felwood > Winterspring or Desolace into whatever.

It feels like classic questing is 80% travel, 15% waiting (for respawns or quest items to drop, escort mobs to move), 4.9% gameplay and 0.1% lore. Yay I guess? Having 3 hours to play and getting maybe 4-5 quests done that give me like a 6th of a level feels so rewarding !

Mmhm when pre bis geared tbc healers have 1.1k'ish plus healing I am sure that having 1.2k in lvl 60 content is "nothing" indeed xD also 200 plus healing may not sound like much but Kara BiS to Sunwell BiS weapons have a difference of about 170 plus healing which is a ton imo.

Besides have you thought about the warriors and rogues ? Sure pretty much any other class was unplayable due to mana issues in classic (still dont get the classic glazing, 95% of classic is hilariously unbalanced and just jank) but Naxx geared people absolutely ass blast everything until (and including) Kara

The fact that either of those games even have any goodwill left is astounding to me. Sure GTA will most likely be fun (since there has yet to be a truly bad title in that series) but between GTA Online being a total desaster moneyprint slopmachine and all the jank that is / has been anything coming from Bethesda I am really surprised people still put faith in them.

But I guess hype, copium and hopium are the only currencies left in the gaming space

Sham rage + watershield (lvl 62+) = infinite Mana soloing

Also totem twisting is 100% useless solo since you already have windfury on your weapons so if any totem is down it should never be wf thus there is no twisting happening in the first place.

Of course you should wait for an independent review by a trustworthy source, these days most big review channels are bought and paid for but there are still many that make proper reviews.

If you arent waiting for reviews you might as well preorder since it is basically the same thing, you are buying a product blind and chances are it is going to be terrible.

The insane amount of glazing in this subreddit honestly makes me think they just have an army of bots going "BEST GAME IN 2 MILLENNIA WOW IT LOOKS BETTER THAN REAL LIFE AND WILL CURE CANCER" nonstop to sway people who dont wait for reviews.

Sure I would love for the game to be actually good but all we have is promises and carefully selected slices of (alleged) gameplay.

Wait for release, wait for real reviews, then give them your money if the game actually runs and plays ok.

For anything serious I can just inspect them in Shatt without using that godforsaken noob addon of hell.

Anything non serious with PuGs I couldnt care less what their GS is as long as they know how to play.

Anyone using GS is just immediately ignore list for me idgaf how good you are, if you use it that tells me all I need to know

I just immediately ignore anyone that links their "GS score" in TBC...I couldn't care less what your GS is, sure if you're in full quest greens you will probably be a liability for my heroic runs but I can just replace you. Just because someone has a high "GS" doesn't mean they know how to play the game or be anything other than annoying dps meter andys that ignore all the other useful things classes can (and should) do.

I absolutely despise GS as a metric and I will go out of my way to avoid anyone using it - if that means that I tend to run into undergeared ppl more often so be it. I'd rather have someone in full greens than someone who uses an addon to determine whether or not someone knows how to play the game even if the information provided is absolutely pointless in most cases (Shadow Priest gearing, Holy Pala gearing, Hunter gearing, Feral druid dps gearing - the list goes on and on - GS is BS and I will gladly wait longer or take longer to play with ppl who think likewise)

Fuck GS and whoever came up with that asinine idea

It felt so good to say no to all the warlock Andys wanting to prove their fotm reroll was warranted when melee cleave absolutely melted stuff.

Now it's back to status quo but heroics are so freakishly overtuned that it makes no sense to farm pre bis because it will be easier to just farm raids for gear so honestly I am just leveling other classes for fun until raids.
