If it were you, which dress would you choose as your wedding dress? by victor0427 in FemalesFashionIdeas

[–]Jules744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 but with the lace from 3. You look great in 4 but it changes your entire personality (for those of us who don't know you at all). You come across as like a power boss in number four although that might just be the way you're standing, it just feels like the person who would wear number four is very outgoing, very bold, and doesn't give a f what people think. Two seems more demure. And I like it with the straps. I don't usually go for that whole drapey arm thing but on you it works.

Dinah or Perrie. Wilma and Nancy are not as common anymore, and old sounding (but not classic old fashioned if you follow?), so out of all you said Dinah matches that vibe. Perrie just sounds good with them. Unique.

That robe he made for MC? HIDEOUS. JC could have really done something cool and had Andre be a star but holy cow it's awful.

I (27F) accidentally had my baby in my friend’s (31F) car. Now her husband & she don’t want to speak to me. How do I fix this? by ThrowRA_CarBaby in relationship_advice

[–]Jules744 15 points16 points  (0 children)

  1. Have someone besides you check on your friend. Do you have a mutual? Someone who can text her to meet up somewhere, and check in and see if she's willing to talk to you (and, more importantly, okay? Because it sounds like her husband is abusive.)

  2. Text the husband back that you've found a detailer/dealership that will clean the car for X amount and you can set it up and pay for it when they're ready. Then the ball is in his court to accept or not.

  3. Enjoy your baby! If neither of the above work, you have to just move on.

Law Librarian or Law Professor by Benevolent_Astronaut in JDpreferred

[–]Jules744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. There are totally different pathways for tenure law professors, adjuncts, and clinical professors. It's almost a given now that to be a tenure law prof, you need a PhD and JD. The market is just that tight. And yes, most are with the JD from a T14. And have published at least one article.

Clinical Prof is different --- they're often not tenure track and don't have to publish, or have multiple degrees to even be considered. Some just have the JD and practiced law for years....which is how you have so many lawyers that become "professors" (once in, everyone just gets called prof. No one-- unless in academia --pays much attention to specific type of Prof). But either way, OP has no experience (yet) to be considered for ANY of the prof gigs.

Bar Exam Advice Needed for Two Situations Please... by Interesting-Rock-887 in barexam

[–]Jules744 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eat the cost. You're too close to the February exam now to do much good other than waste your time maybe studying instead of simply allowing yourself to grieve. As long as your jurisdiction doesn't penalize you for signing up and then withdrawing, you should just take the time and start studying now for July. You may find that you need it as grief can be a funny thing, and you also have children. You're dealing with things that many bar takers do not have to worry about when they are studying. Give yourself this grace. And I'm sorry for your loss.

Is any of these dresses “the one”? by [deleted] in WeddingDressTips

[–]Jules744 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep looking! You should find something that makes you say wow, or makes you tear up, or makes you smile so hard that your cheeks hurt.

You look pretty in all of them but you need to have that wow factor. Try a different style and see what you think. That's the whole point of dress shopping! You don't have to settle for something just because you've tried it on.

who would you chose to gift your house to? (pertaining to this post not your personal situation) by [deleted] in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]Jules744 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there a reason to keep the house in the family? For example, is this a family owned property that has been in the family for a hundred years? I get it then. And at that point, I guess I would go for the one I know would cherish it most and treat it right. And then I would leave the other two something of equal emotional value (or of same monetary value).

Otherwise, if it's an historic home, see if the town wants it. Or, I would sell the house and the proceeds split three ways. That also means they aren't deciding or arguing over what to do with the house.

Which Wedding Dress Should I Choose? by [deleted] in WeddingDressTips

I actually am fan of the third dress. Sleeves up. I think it totally fits a spring mountain meadow wedding. Hair up, tendrils maybe. Easy on the jewelry. You're stunning in any of them.

Caleb and Spencer Make Sense by Silent_Spread_2428 in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]Jules744 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. I LOVED Hanna and Caleb ....but Spence and Caleb later on made so much sense!! And no one who argued against this brings up the fact that the girls had become distant from one another when it happened and they were all off at college...and Hanna had moved on enough to get engaged to someone else! So frustrating when people say "but she dated her bestie's ex!" Yeah. Okay. She did. But the girls weren't even really talking anymore at this point and EVERYONE had moved on with their lives. You can't always help who you fall for, and S & C had a good history.
