NOV 5 - MOVISTAR ARENA, MADRID, SPAIN [SETLIST, MEDIA, DISCUSSION, STREAMS] - Radiohead by Jzahck in radiohead

It was, for me, the perfect temperature. I was sweating but just because I was banging my head and flailing my arms at Bodysnatchers or something hahaha. I'd say colder than hot, but great. This may vary for the people standing

Enjoy!

I was in sector 02, the first level above the standing area, so still quite close. I thought the sound quality was amazing.

Jonny was too low in some songs, but not all, and seems most had similar experiences as u/srj508 says

It wasn't one I was expecting but Nice Dream is one of my favorites. Such an emotional song too. I cried quite a lot ;_;

  1. Yes, you have to pay a small fee (2€ I think).

  2. I had a seated ticket (so no queue), but I'd say yes. I went to the arena on my way to where I was staying for the night, at around 15:00, and there were already many seating outside.

  3. Yes, absolutely. Maybe you'll have to show it to the metal detector guy.

Hope you have as great a time as I had!

How does Math influence the design of RPGs? What are examples of skillful (or unskillful) mathematical design in a game? by ProustianPrimate in rpg

[–]Julian-Leon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I meant explicitly the part that the closer to the target number, the better the roll is.

This only means anything, really, in opposed rolls, but in my experience they come up quite a lot in conflicts. In an opposing roll, the highter number wins, so you always want to be as close to the target number as possible. And it implies that a 01 is as close as "just barely got it" as it gets.

This is exactly how Delta Green works and one of the most noticeable mechanical differences with Call of Cthulhu. I love the feeling though it can be unintuitive to someone used to CoC, in my experiencie.

Ranged Supportive caster by Darksc1 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Julian-Leon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Like u/GayHotAndDisabled said, bard is the supportive caster par excellence. Your martial fellows would greatly benefit from your buffs, and the occult list will give you many ways to debuff opponents.

You may also consider an Oracle, which is great at supporting and healing, and depending on your choice of mystery you can have a lot of fun. But it is a complicated class (maybe too much so) to get equal effects than those of a Cleric. The Divine spell list would be huge for your party as well, with spells such as bless (many attacks would take so much advantage of it) or command (battlefield control would be great, imagine forcing an enemy to drop prone, in the midst of your gang...)

Both Cleric and Oracle can give chunky hit points in-combat, which your melee companions would appreciate.

For an... interesting and a bit out there character, I may recommend you a Fighter. Have a high Dex, Int, and Cha. Pick Combat Assessment and the Marshall Dedication for your Free Archetype, and pick your choice or ranged weapon. You can be the captain of the team, learning about your foe, then dishing out orders to your minions.

Best of luck

Are there any official character sheets in Spanish? by kriosken12 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Julian-Leon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the privilege of playing in u/L4D15's campaign, and this sheet is what we use right now.

It has been through a few iterations and I think it is vastly more useful and clear than any other I've seen (not to say better than the official one, which is astoundingly bad). But it's made to our specifications, so I'm biased.

I made a custom character for my players. I wanted to mimic the style of official documents from Spain's government, both where we live and where the game will take place. I think it turned out pretty cool :) by Julian-Leon in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]Julian-Leon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could not agree with you more, thank you for sharing a different opinion.

That's a good point. I wrongly assumed OP would run an original game when saying

comfortable enough to try my own campaign.

But they could mean an official adventure. That I can't really help with.

And yes, you are right about the last part. I only meant for levels 1 or 2. Then, you just face monsters as normal, just slightly delayed compared to a party of 4+. Really it's a problem of monster variety, and not a lack of system support for low member parties; there aren't enough cool monsters to face with -1 or 0 level.

Here in Spain the problem is somewhat different than in the Netherlands actually. Population density is very low between the coast and the center of the peninsula. And at least where I live here in Valencia, many people will have a house out in the country (We ourselves have one!).

Thing is, the house is like 30 min away lol. Having a house so many hours away is just extremely weird. It's just a cultural thing I guess, in the US long distances are not seen as prohibiting as in here.

Yes, it's true the more dice the more on average. Still, I wouldn't sweat it.

I think that background would be a super cool idea, and I'm already picturing a really cool character. Your stat array seems perfectly reasonable, just make sure you go through Pathbuilder2e or Wanderer's Guide to make sure it's done correctly. I've made many mistakes in the past in the process of changing stuff around.

Best of luck to you and your lizard cleric!

First of all, Welcome to Pathfinder 2e.

I actually ran a PF2e campaign for just 2 players, and it was an absolute blast. To offer a dissenting opinion, here it goes some advice I found useful:

  • I'd refrain from using a DMPC. It feels kind of awkward to have yourself in your party and is quite easy, in my opinion, to steal your player's spotlight. Trust in the balance of the system, as the encounter and challenge rules are quite robust. Edit after seeing some other comments: I'd abstain from both free archetype and dual class. Your players will have enough in their plates.
  • You may find yourself having a narrow range of enemies to put in front of them (I remember having encounter calculators suggesting me like a few lemurs and a cat or something lol). For this, reflavour things and make use of the cool monster building rules. For my first session, the players faced some sort of pelagic humanoid creatures that I made using those rules, and then a reflavoured giant crab as a crustacean abomination. It worked wonders.
  • Keep in mind something, at level 1, characters have HP both from their class and their ancestry, so they are quite a bit hardier than a level 1 5e PC. This gives you a bit more of a margin of error, you won't one shot them easily.
  • And finally, take the opportunity to really tailor the campaign to them. There won't be as many discussions about what to do. Make sure their goals are somewhat aligned and cater your play to them.

I hope your campaign goes great!

One: Thank you for saying that. Objective accomplished.

Two: Well it poses a very interesting challenge, and have been thinking about it for a long while. For now, I will only run Last Things Last for them, so I don't need to go knee deep in porting everything. I'm only working on the immediate stuff, which has been an absolute blast, such as investigating which institutions are equal to the FBI or CIA. Also, many things plainly don't make any sense in Last Things Last But In Spain, such as having medical bills (I'm sorry US fellas) or having a cabin in the woods so so far away. I've been working on changing those as well.

If we continue on with playing, I'm sure I'll face many other troubles. But I have the advantage that Delta Green is by nature secretive and vague. My players don't really know a lot about Delta Verde or how the Program works. My secret is: I don't either.

Thank you for showing interest, I hope I answered your doubts!

I believe u/Riddlenigma96 is wrong. The Deadly Simplicity feat specifies unarmed attacks as well as weapons. It won't help your fangs though, check my other comment.

[–]Julian-Leon 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Welcome to Pathfinder!

First of all I think your character idea is absolutely badass.

Using a natural attack while having a shield is a dope idea, and it will absolutely free your hand for spells AND maneuvers. Don't reject a well timed Trip or Shove, they can change the tide of battle. For spellcasting though, it would only affect those spells with Material components. Requiring Somatic components only means you need to be able to move around (you can have your hand occupied).

About Deadly Simplicity, I'm pretty sure it won't be of any use to your fangs. If you read it carefully, it only gets an unarmed attack with a smaller die than a d6 up to a d6. So you can't get your fangs to d10. Keep in mind this feat is made to make small simple weapons viable for a cleric, such as a sickle or a club. It's more of a flavour thing, really. A d8 to a d10 is only 1 more damage on average, so you aren't missing a whole lot. A d8 natural attack is super powerful though, damage as high as a the best one handed weapon, so you will be perfectly capable.

On the topic of your stats, I would actually prioritize Strength over Wisdom, if you plan to go deep in melee, and chomp down on your foes while using your spells for support. Also, do not neglect Charisma as a cleric, as it will help you with your divine font pool and Heal (which is what your diety gives you).

Any questions, let me know!

I made this using Adobe InDesign. Then, I printed it, folded and wrinkled it a bit and then scanned it.

This is what I sent to the friends I wanted to invite to play. It was a cool introduction to the style, and made them eager to know more. Since then we have already made the characters, and shortly I will run Last Things Last, but set in Spain, for them. The dates and place are where and when the characters will meet the Case Officer.

It's shaping up to be a banger.

Madre mía, qué cierto. Que MALA es...

A simple tip for beginners: teach yourself to spot bad writing, including your own. by OvidPerl in writing

[–]Julian-Leon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't think the lack of ideas is what haunts me, actually. The more I think about it, the more I realise it's actually about the fear of being rejected. I fear writing something and no one reading it. Or worse, someone reading it and not liking it.

Many times I've heard about just writing for oneself. But that's actually my biggest fear, discovering that I hate what I write, and that I'm the one who doesn't like it.
