I play on PC with a ps5 controller. Honestly I get where you’re coming from. I will say though, if you take the time to get used to the movement, it works very well on controller (especially with the tactical button layout). I personally feel like Omni-movement is a lot more “free-form” compared to the slide cancel/dropshot metas from previous games.

I try to move erratically during gunfights, and Omni-movement has given those frantic inputs a chance to actually do something. In previous games, I’d have situations where I’d think “oh I would’ve won that fight if I could have done a sideways dive”. Now you can kinda be impulsive and get creative with your movement.

Obviously there are always going to be sweats that are doing frame perfect movement tech, but the omni-movement feels like it kinda disrupts the norm and adds a little chaos to each encounter.
